Notification light

yes i reported to google as well but they didn't respond :-(
i guess they are less bothered about customers than HTC :-D

Hello all. New to the forum.

So - my Mate is also experiencing the "no notification light" syndrome. However, if the notification lights only show for five minutes, then what the point anyway. I like my phone just fine and could care less about a five minute notification window. Now, if they can remove that five minute restriction, I would do the hard set solution and see if that worked. But for now,,,,meh!

I'd rather have the 5 min window, eats up less battery. If I don't look at my phone for more than 5 minutes, usually the first thing I do when I do go near it is check to see if I have any notifications. ;)

Some like it, some don't. It takes all types to make the world go round. :)

Good question.. Realistically i doubt they were going to do anything.. So i took matters in to my own hands :-D

Thanks.. Yeah most don't seem to work on m8.. The light flow dev seems to think it should offer better led control with root

hi guys,

ive finally crack me green only led :D

after rooting and then installing Light flow ... followed by excellent support from the dev - i now have a flashing orange led for calendar reminders :D

....obviously still only have green for other stuff - but its a big step forward for me

...i think you might be able to play with blink rate and maybe even strength of led colour

cheers
dan

I have to say Dan that you stuck to it until you persevered! I don't see myself going through the whole root process to accomplish this as you just did, thinking I might wait for HTC to fix it, or a way simpler solution...

I hear ya Dan, so other than that I love the phone, it's just not perfect. Like I've already said, I'd take this phone over any other that I've seen with a working notification light, I'm kind of getting used to not having one. :-)

This phone is indeed a keeper, however, not perfect.
Too bad LG & HTC haven't collaborated on a shared U/I-O/S.
Next time you're in an AT&T store,give the LG G2 & G-FLEX a real good look at the features they offer & you'll see what I mean,w/the notification lights/pull-down notification options/re-mapable on-screen button layout,just to name a few.

:-D very true... The ultimate phone :-D
...yeah I really like this phone.. It is definitely the best one I've ever used
