Nova Launcher on G3....

Does nova disable the "2 knock feature" to shut off the phone? I can do it to wake the phone up, but it don't work the opposite way....Am I missing something?

I ran it for awhile and it did disable knock off. Somebody mentioned using a gesture in lieu of knock off but I'd uninstalled by that time.
 
You need to use the stock launcher to get the built in knock off to work.

Install this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.katecca.screenofflock&hl=en
Then, in Nova Prime (have to have paid version) set a gesture where a double tap runs screen off and lock.

Now you have knock off without using Nova launcher.

I have a busy home screen, so I use a swipe up to switch off, but same premise.

If you don't want to install an extra program or buy Nova Prime, a double tap in the status bar will also turn off and lock.

Okay, quickly uninstalled the app for now. I like having knock off, but I don't like the automatic lock. I use a time delay on my lock (requirement for work), so that I won't have to enter my pin every time I put my phone on standby. If they made it so that it didn't instantly lock, it'd be a winner for me.

I guess, this is something I'll have to consider, when the G3 stylus comes out. That might just be a deal breaker for me. I love NOVA Prime, but don't want to lose the knock-off/knock-on feature because of it.

Does stock knock off work even if you are in an app and not on a launcher screen?
 
You can use the knock-off by hitting the status bar twice with nova. Also works from any app not just the home screen.

Knock off from the status bar is part of the screen off lock app. You can also access the feature on Nova prime's home screens by setting the app as the double tap gesture. It's a cool way to replace a feature lost when changing from the default launcher. My only issue is that I find the back power button more convenient to use. Good job LG on that one!
 
I thought the double tap on the status bar was a framework thing as well? I'm pretty sure you could always double tap on the status bar to power off the display without any additional apps on the G3.
