Help [OFFICIAL] 2.2 ota is live for evo

Got my update just now here in Baltimore. I had to tell it repeatedly to check for an HTC update but eventually it worked.

" Camera won't launch after updating my Evo to 2.2
Anyone else seeing this problem? When I touch the camera or camcorder icon, it tries to launch then quits back to the homescreen. Any advice?"

you newbies gotta learn how to search for your answers..

Let me google that for you

Uninstall LED light and that should fix it. I re-installed it and it seems to work after re-install. I haven't rebooted yet thought. Will see

can someone be so kind as to me send me a link to update to 1.47OTA .. i cant even install 2.2 manually because 1.47 is a prereq.

As always, I'm pretty sure Tallahassee or anyone in Florida won't get this until either Thursday, or Friday. There ain't any updates available for download here. Oh well, I'm still waiting for the hoard of new posts about the problems, then I'll see if they're bad enough to keep me from updating until they're fixed.

just got done installing 2.2 here in orlando... ;)

Checking in from the Mitten (Michigan) and I'm downloading Froyo now! I'm so excited. That last update totally fried my Evo, I had to swap out my phone. It was cool because I was able to get the white one instead of the black one that I had. I'm hoping this update will be better;)

It's likely just a network traffic overload in your neighborhood.

The system will eventually detect that you need 1.47 and give you that first (see other results from those in same boat as you, above in this thread).

I looked around _briefly_ for a 1.47 for you - sorry, no gots.

Why is it not available on my phone? Says no new updates available. This blows.

If you're running the stock rom (no fancy root stuff), then it's more likel just a case of your local network segment being overloaded from everyone else downloading it.

Try again, like others, it'll come through for you.

The update just finished installing...now my phone is in a constant loop of trying to load HTC sense and HTC Sense force closing. I removed the battery but that did not help.. Any thoughts??? I assume a hard reset is my only option but how can I do a hard reset if this loop is continuing??

My phone was stock with the latest update (1.47).

Thanks!

*EDIT...got it to hard rest...this blows...

So I downloaded the update last night and my phone actually seems to be running a bit slower. If I open Advance Task Killer and end all tasks, then reopen ATK one minute later their will be multiple random tasks open. Is this normal behavior? Also my data services seem to be turning on/off intermitently. Should I reset the phone and re-install the update?

downloaded update, and got a corrupted file msg. Went to re-download and am now getting 'insufficient storage'

any suggestions?

My evo has been stuck on the update part where there is the little android guy and a triangle with an exclamation point for around an hour now. normal? should i plug in my phone or something?

In Tampa, upgraded this am. At first nothing came up, retried 10 seconds later and bam! there it was.

So how do you install the manual update from HTCs website if you are rooted? I just tried going in with the recovery concile, but it gave me an unkwon exception and aborted.

I agree. I guess I had high hopes there would be some shinny new features that would make my jaw drop. Well it did, but just for a yawn!

Well one of the biggest features (The mobile hot spot) were taken out, so that's probably why it seems so dull. I don't notice a speed difference, as the phone was plenty fast before on 2.1 IMO, but maybe there is a slight increase. There are small addons, such as in text messaging where you can attach things, and it keeps count of how many texts per contact, and the most recent apps increased to 8 apps. As long as it doesn't brick the phone or make it worse, and gives me a few addons that make the phone a little better, I'm happy.
