Need some help, coing from BB storm to Rezound so I need everything. I like the HTC TPU case over at Verizon but will it fit in the desktop dock? What Car dock (window or dash) would you recommend? Where do you get the 1amp car charger? Best hookup to PC?
Any of you guys feel manly enough to get the Charm and test it on their phone? Or any of the ladies?

I tried it on my Incredible at the store last week, and it didn't work on my phone.
I read that it should work on the Rezound. Is that what you mean by "my phone" or do you actually mean that it didn't work on the Incredible?

I'll try it if you buy it...
I just don't even see the point to this. A little blue-tooth charm that you could decorate yourself with, maybe, but a little thing wired to your phone, inches away?![]()
The fact that it's attached to the phone is where some women would find it useful, instead of digging through their purses they can just pull the cord, unless they pull too hard and yank it off....

I got a question. Have any of you guys found an extra battery higher than 1620 mAh? I'm only looking for a battery with the highest mAh without the increase in size. Htcpedia used to have i think a 1700 and 1850mAh but i don't see it there anymore.
We have tested and can confirm 100% compatibility of the charm for the HTC Rezound. It works perfectly with the HTC Rezound as the phone was ready for the optional charm out of the box. HTC Charm Call Indicator ID C100 for HTC Rhyme, HTC Rezound

FYI - If you go into Settings you will notice settings for Charm.

I don't see this setting. Does it appear when you plug a charm into the phone? I see under Display for "LED notifications' but nothing that says "charm".
Oh and Purple isn't going to fly for most of the Rezound crowd, I'd recommend making a Rezound-red one but I can see someone using the red flashing LED to scare the neighbors when they play their music too loud by putting the LED near a window so they think the police are approaching.![]()
From the home screen do the following, Menu --> Settings. It is the 3rd down, "Charm". It shows without the actual charm being plugged in. We'll write an article with images and a video about HTC Rezound charm.
On my Rezound, after hitting Mneu-->Settings, the 3rd one down is "Call". Can't find "Charm" anywhere in the settings. Are you sure you it was there before you plugged in the charm?
I discussed some of this earlier.
The car mount is mountable on either window (suction cup) or dash.
For the dask mount it simply includes a flat, smooth base which can be adhered to your dash, and provides a suitable surface for the suction cup to attach. It's quite unobtrusive, actually- A nice solution.

The official HTC Rezound dock will NOT work with any cases on the phone. It will only work with a standard and extended battery on the HTC Rezound. The car kit though, allows you to use it with a case, standard, or even extended battery. It comes with 3 inserts therefore you will be able to use it with a case.
Is there a Non-official dock that works with a cases? What/which car kit are you refering to?
The only issue with using that base for dash mounting is fading around it. With the sun hitting your dash, the color will fade with time. But with the base stuck to your dash, it will shade the area under it. So when you remove the base later on, say to trade in your car, the area under the base will be much darker than the area around it, which may hurt your resale value.
I was going to do this on a vehicle, and when looking for where to buy these bases, I found a forum that was discussing this topic. Even if your car is in a garage or you use one of those windshield shades, the sun will still fade the dash color when you are driving, unless you only drive at night.
Not saying that no one should use those bases. But that thought hadn't occured to me until I read that forum, so I figured that most other people hadn't though of that either. From the pics the guy on the forum had, there was a noticable dark circle where the base was attatched, and it was only after 2 years with his truck stored in a garage when not in use. Just something to think about.![]()
Yeah, that's a fair point I'd imagine.
I still like it better than a previous dash mount I had that left a ball socket stuck to my dashboard all the time, even when I didn't need to use the mount. The unobtrusiveness of the flat piece is nice, although I am using the windshield mount since the reach to that isn't too bad in my Highlander.
