***Official "Appointment" Thread*** aka: Steven58 hates clutter thread.

I figured i'd give my local BB a call since I still havn't heard from them. They said they have not received their shipment in and that they are being told they probably aren't getting too many.

I sure hope they get it by tomorrow or esle i'll be waiting in line at verizon with everyone else.
 
When I called Best Buy last week, they told me to call on Tuesday(today) to find out if I will be getting a Droid X in the first shipment. I called and the BB mobile guy told me that I am number 7 on the list and that he will call me tomorrow to give me an appointment.
 
I am number ONE on the list at my nearest Bestbuy (Tulsa, Midtown) and they still haven't called me. I called them today instead. At first I was told that the launch day was being moved (bull~hit). When I said that launch day wasn't moving, even if his store didn't have stock, he relented and said that I'd get one *if* they got enough. When I reminded him that I'm first on the list, he said, "Yeah, well at this point, we aren't sure we're going to get any at all by then."
 
Okay, so I didn't get a call ... I called them. Turns out I'm #2 on the list. The employee pretty much guaranteed me I'll have one Thursday.

So two thumbs up to BB for me. . .and good luck to everyone else. . I know how you feel.
 
Just called my local BB in Avon, IN (near Indianapolis). They still have not received shipment and indicated that the shipment could arrive as late as the wee hours of Thursday morning. They did not know how many they were getting but no mention was made of a delayed launch. They also confirmed that I am #1 on their pre-order list.
 
I called my BB yesterday (Burlington, WA) and they said they were getting enough X's to fill all of their pre orders on the 15th, but they wouldn't schedule appointments until Wednesday. They better call me tomorrow.
 
Called my BB yesterday to see what place in line I was. I'm the third pre-order, and they have only had three. He said I'm pretty much certain to get it on release. I asked about making an appointment, and he said to just come in on Thur. unless they call.

So not sure what to think about that, but gonna call Wed/Thur anyways.
 
Yea same here, I'm 6th out of 6 total per orders. it doesn't sound good when you hear stories of other BBs with more interest in the phone than my BB and they only got 2 so far. Some are saying though, that BB gets shipments in on Weds. so hopefully the BBs that has only got like 2 phones will be getting more tomorrow. I'm just going to ask them tomorrow what's up and if they can't tell me tomorrow if they got enough phones or not for me to get one on the 15th then i'm just going to VZW in the morning and refunding the gift card or saving it for accessories when BB gets those in.

I just called them tonight, on hold and then was never connected through. They were so ghetto and sounded frustrated that I even called saying "they will call you when they get it". But I don't ever trust anymore saying they'll get back to me. I'll try again tomorrow.

P.s. I was told I would receive a call today. There goes that.
 
My Best Buy called today and said they wouldn't be getting in their shipment until early afternoon, so I have a 4pm appointment. Thankfully, I'm off all day. I'm actually going to try the VZ store first at 8am so I can try for a 1-year contract. If I don't get one there, I'll be at BB at 4pm.
 
I got my call at 6:00 pm today. I made my appointment for 8:00 pm Thursday. Ugh that is going to be a long day at work. I allready installed the App creator on my PC and I will be starting work on my first app this weekend. I actually have a couple really exciting ideas that I cant wait to reveal to the Android marketplace.

got a call at 6:30 today. my appointment is at 4pm on thursday. can't wait!
 
I got an e-mail from my Verizon rep. He said they only expect 30 in store for the day. He was asking if I was still interested. They are opening an hour early and will be holding one for me.
