The question you get when entering TWRP is a choice to allow modifications to /system partition or not. When you allow it, TWRP can read/write system partition and make changes to it. TWRP asks for a permission since allowing modifications may cause loosing an ability to download OEM OTA updates for a stock rom. OTA updates usually checks if your /system partition has ever been mounted to read/write.

While flashing a CM rom, you should basically format main Android partitions, that is: system, data and cache. Data, cache and dalvik/ART cache are formatted when choosing the "factory reset", which is enough for a proper installation of ROM, since /system partition is replaced with a new one by CM install script automatically.
You may also wipe dalvik/ART cache alone later on a properly working system, without loosing your personal data. It will only result in "Android is updating" screen, since some apps recompile at boot time after it. Sometimes it resolves minor issues with a working system.
 
nightly 0507 just wont install... I have 3 hours trying to install with no luck. it's stuck on "patching system image unconditionally..."
any help?

later edit: I managed to install 0506 nightly in the end.

I have the same problem
what I did was install directly the zip of the update from the recovery only if you have installed something like Xposed busybox or the SuperSU you need to first install the update along with zip other and finally clean the dalvick cache if you do not at the moment you on the l70 is to give frozen ,
(make a dirty update)
but keep in mind that in the case of major changes as to remove any function or add something or even the kernel will have to do a full format and install cleanly
but I have about 20 updates and all have been dirty update XD

Yahoo Weather Provider is back to the CM13. You may download it for free from the Play Store, and IT DOESN'T require any stupid registration and API key. Just tested and it's working with a stock cLock.
Temperature unit is still Fahrenheit in the QS dropdown, but there's a CM fix for it waiting to be applied in the next nightly. After the today's nightly the default unit will be Celsius but it will be dependent on the widget settings (as it should be).

It's fast enough but I still have to test it further.

The only usefull point is... when connected USB to my Win10, the phone is not reconignised thru MTP.
But PTP works (useless).

Am I the single case ?

Go to "Developer options" >> "Select USB Configuration" and change it to MTP. Tell us if it worked.
I'm on the 20160508 nightly and it's awesome.
I also have D320N, but never needed NFC and never used it.

That's strange... we have got de same phone and same rom, but in my case, Developer options doesn't keep the MTP setting. It always return back to Charge.
Another point is, all the nightlies and the snapshot of the w5 does instant blue-crashing my win10 when plugged with USB Debugging mode enabled.

WIN10 BSOD was already discussed many times. If you have it, use Google ADB drivers instead of LG United Mobile Drivers.
BTW, you can always use WIFI sharing app to exchange files (many free apps can do it), or mount USB while in TWRP recovery mode.
 
CM Yahoo Weather provider is having some serious issues again. The widget is not showing proper forecast - weather icons are replaced by question marks. I wonder if it's the same with the Weather Underground ?
