[Official Discussion] Huawei Ascend 2.1 - 2.2 Firmware Upgrade (Info updated as received!)

the tapout is still being sold online for the last 5 days....plus nothing on there web page or facebook page says nothing about a major problem...
 
you get one then and tell me if it works or if they will sell it to you.. all i know is metro is calling me thurs or fri when the updated phones arrive to come pick mine up, i already put a deposit. metro had the tapout but were instructed to not sell them because they dont work.. they tried to stick 2.2 in a regular ascend and it didnt work out to well

someone on this forum already has one and i have heard no complaints about it. Furthermore, i have 2.2 on my phone and it works fine for me.
 
if they sold it to someone they just wanted there money thats what my metro said.. and i know for a fact it has multiple problems

Slow your roll...maybe it was just your phone, but go to their site and add the phone to you cart, i serious doubt they would sell anybody a phone just to get it back...

and your metro also told you and others that they had an OTA update and also they can do it in the store for $10 right?and why would they sell it to you than, And i guess they wanted your money also,

If this is a lie "I like the way you lie". I wouldn't mind waiting alittle for 2.3. Because I'll have to slap metro if they give us 2.2 after waiting sense Jan. After this no more lies lets all just believe in this one. hahaha

This is what happen when people wait too long, we start seeing and believing in delusions. :P

ROFMAO....and after 2.2 comes out, well everyone will want 2.3....

but any who i just got a message from metro im getting 6.8 rom TERMINATOR EDITION and nothing no one can do about it...now what?????
 
2.3 wont run on a ascend my ass lol

I happen to be running 2.3.3 (CM7) n have for a few weeks now. It runs alot better than 2.1 ever did.

lolz yeah im running it now 2.3.3 cause a big thanks to isaac and pip, but for metro to make a 2.3 to run on my way way ass end, i dont think so lolz...but did you check out the post about they recalling the phones...
 
All I can say is...............ROFLMFAO.

Sure, now Huawei and MetroPCS are recalling phones because 2.2 didn't work, and they're gonna push 2.3 instead? Somehow there are multiple Froyo-based ROMs in mostly-working order which run on the phones, but the manufacturer and the reseller can't get it to work? And the solution is to push out a newer version that is more demanding?

I'm dying here!

i think that from the start of building the phone that huawei didnt plan to update the phone to 2.2 or higher its because of us wanting the 2.2 update so they are trying upgrade the phone but they didnt really plan for the phone to be updated or so early after being released in November.. so thats what i think they didnt really plan to update the ascend

I think they never should have released it with 2.1 to begin with lol
