Thank you S.meezy. Yeah, funny how that worked out, but I was hoping everyone would have their EVO's today! I will say this; the phone meets or exceeds all of my expectations.
First of all, I love the phone and probably wouldn't change anything. The only negative that comes to mind is the on/off button at the top of the phone, because it is hard to find. I liked my Hero better, because all I had to do was double-click the Home button and it was ready to go. With the EVO, you have to fiddle around to find the button and then you have to swipe the screen to unlock it. I love the big screen and the speed is so much better than the Hero.Is there anything specifically you do not like about the phone? Nothing is "perfect" and I'm wondering what it is specifically about the phone that you may not like too much...
Such as the power button that Engadget (?) had noted, etc...
Thank you, sir.Welcome back Bill

I don't think we'll have 4G here for another month or so, although we might get lucky and have it on launch day, but I'm not counting on it.Bill,
I live near Tampa Bay area.. Congrats on getting EVO! I'm wondering did the service have 4G in tampa area ?
I'm going to do my best. I've never uploaded to YouTube, so that's something else I have to learn.Bill,
You're going to make me cry. I want my EVO so bad right now. Congrats though, at least one of us gets to be. And be sure to get up plenty of 720p shots that camera looks ace from what I've seen. Thanks!

I don't know if there's a setting for flash on while using the camcorder, or not. I'll let you now later about that.Oh it's really simple, nothing incredibly hard. And one thing I was wondering does the video camera record with flash on?
I'm loving the phone, NiCK. Really, June 4th isn't that far away.Nice to "meet" ya Bill... I'm a newbie around here, but am loving the forums so far and am anxious to get my hands on my EVO come June. Hope you're enjoying your phone.
Edit: Yes, Swype came on the Omnia, but that was a special thing as part of a Samsung phone. HTC and/or Sprint have never included Swype by default on a device, and I haven't heard anything about that starting now.
sooooo happy you are back!!! try not to go too psycho

Can you make the meet tomorrow at the Marriott?
PS - I want to give special thanks to TS for not giving up on me and for encouraging me to come back here.
True. I was more embarrassed than anything because of what happened. I'm feeling better about the whole situation now.Welcome back - glad you were able to make amends. It is after all, just a phone.

Oh, shucks... I'm really happy to be here. Thanks...Just mean we are happy to have you here!!
When you remove the back cover it feels flimsy and flexible. It's very thin, but when it's on the phone it feels rock solid and it has a very nice feel. It doesn't have the rubbery coating or feel that my Hero has, but I like it.Sorry Bill - edited my post and added the question:
how solid does the back cover feel while it's on the phone? Does it feel well assembled and as "snug" as the Hero and Nexus one?
