True. I was more embarrassed than anything because of what happened. I'm feeling better about the whole situation now.
Look at it this way. Half the folks here now, are "newbies" who have absolutely no clue what the hell we're talking about!
The other half either joined you, floated between both, or don't give a rat's ass. So it's all good!
Oh and a few questions for everyone:
the EVO will be my first Android phone ever, so I just wanted to know - who pushes out the Android updates? Is it the carrier or HTC? Also, given that the Nexus One is already getting the Froyo update, does that mean EVO's will be getting them too?
I'm just not sure how HTC or google or sprint handles android updates but it seems to take a pretty long time (given that their Hero and Moment devices finally just got the 2.1 update)
Currently, the carrier pushes out updates and has the final say. That will most likely change once Froyo is pushed out, since Google is changing underlying infrastructure to allow for future updates to come from them.
