official froyo 2.2 tomorrow

You don't need the notification to be there. Just goto Settings --> About Phone --> System Software Updates and it' check from there. Although it's "tomorrow" now and I've just checked out of interest and nothing :(
 
A quick question, my phone is unlocked and unbranded but on T-mobile UK. If I take an OTA update from T-mobile will it contain T-mobile's 'enhancements' or will it retain its unbranded goodness?
 
Yeah, that product page is new but is a bit naughty as the phone currently doesn't have HD video capture!

Hopefully though it's a sign that the official 2.2 release is imminent. So, will my phone tell me there's an update (assuming I have auto sync on)
 
I know we're all used to the rumours, but this is looking more, and more promising. I might wait a bit before I upgrade. Give them chance to iron all the bugs. I know this goes against what I've always said, but the way I see it, what's all couple more weeks in the big scheme of things?
 
Very much doubt that there will be a global deployment on one day but at least it's coming soon.

Will rooted phones get the update quicker ?

If you have rooted, you can have it now(see link in sig). Rooted phones will not receive the OTA update though.


Has anyone actually got it officially yet?
 
According the the official 2.2 sticky on here. It's been denied by HTC_NL someone over at xda contacted them. The official word is "soon".

Think we can all go back to sleep for a while :p

Oh well. Back to the waiting game.

Anyone got a pack of cards on them?
 
Exactly I have SNES, Playstation, Mastersystem, Megadrive and Spectrum emulators running on mine very very well. Downloaded some classic games from when i was younger and they all run great :D

And browsing on this phone is simply a thing of beauty :p

No, in all honesty, it makes sense to release it to a controlled location. Although I'm already impatient ;)_

They should limit the first release to AndroidForums users, then we could test it properly before the civilians see it........;)
