by the way, I was reading on my phone before dinner and didn't get to respond but wanted to say, add 1 to the Penn State alumni base that is awaiting the GNex in the house. Class of 2000 here.

Anyway, and I apologize if it was mentioned as I'm sure it was, but I would love to see the Rezound in that benchmarking chart with its 1.5 GHz dual core.

If it is, ooooo baby...Season 2 and 4 are my favs...but if something crazy happens this season, it will be right there with them even with the slow, extremely religious start.

No, I STILL haven't had a chance to yet. Will probably watch it on HBO Go tomorrow while we are sitting in the airport.

Nice! 2000 here as well (would have been 1999 but I did a 7 month internship).

Ok... Slight change in plans. Instead of putting the reviews post in this thread I started another one, stuck it and closed it. It's reference only. I'll unstick it after the device drops. If anyone knows of another review or video that they wanna see there, PM me with the link. TIA!!!

I don't think so. The name "Galaxy" is probably stipulated by Samsung to add this great device into their world famous Galaxy brand. And the name "Nexus" is probably stipulated by Google. Verizon cannot change that.

It is either someone has pulled a very old ad, or the people who created the ad are clueless of which device is which (and it is not uncommon).

Also, our IT department shut off this site at work today...ooops. I guess that's what happens when a fully staffed IT department is working and only a few employees so they can monitor more closely. Luckily I am only working 8 more days this year.

Hm, we'll see about that... usually I'm the optimist here but I wouldn't count on anything earlier than December at this point TBH.

2: all the 'facts' he posted about the nexus are already well known. For instance the higher res screen produced slightly better results. The 1600 quadrant test, the only 2 Verizon apps, and the verizon branding only on the back.. nothing new, all old news

3: he called the recent apps button, a menu button

4: the GPS test. everyone who has used it says its not an issue anymore, but he claims to have the old samsung issue with gps lock

just my .02 and i usually wont say that about someone, but i dont believe him at all. I wouldnt put much thought into anything coming out of there or the fact that its 16gb

I agree completely. It seems odd that he would post in the RAZR section. He should be posting the G-Nex section. Doing it this way just makes it seem like he is 1. Lying and 2. Wanting to get support from the RAZR groupies.

Someone should call him out and ask him to post pictures of his "Verizon Nexus".

Come to think of it, I don't think there have been any pictures of a Verizon Nexus in the wild have there? I have only seen it in the getting started videos that were found.

If it is the same 1.5 dual core that the skyrocket has I would imagine it would be very similar. Qualcom?

This is a forum that caters to people the world over. The phone is released already and instead of peoples reviews/impressions being lost in this behemoth of an epic thread, it would be nice to have a place for these reviews to be seen.

Anyone who thinks it prudent to "call him out" should do it in the nicest possible way! :cool:

The Razr "groupies" have just as much right to an opinion as the "GNex" groupies? Don't you think? ;)

Well, I have good news for everyone. I'm finally caving and going in tomorrow to buy a Re(nt)zound - I just can't live with my ancient wonky Omnia any longer. Now of course, by Murphy's Law it's inevitable that the moment I do so - after waiting all these weeks in vain - a release date for the Nexus will be announced. You can all thank me later.
