I can't see VZW discounting a brand new phone that much, even for black Friday. (This is assuming it had launched on schedule and was currently available like would have been the assumption when this ad was made)

How far did you get? I put in my info and it wouldn't take it because I am an existing Verizon customer.

Make sure you choose "upgrade" instead of "two year contract" on the first screen.

UPDATE: Android Central forum denizen, Mac58, allegedly got this piece of good news from Verizon:

I just called a verizon store. ... They confirmed it's the same price and it's available for preorder! ... She said it will be 14 days before phone is released.

That was half an hour ago (9.47am EST). Let's wait for corroboration before we go crazy, shall we?

From that same article. I'm guessing that guy called a non corporate store?

Someone should tweet @vzw and mention the Galaxy Nexus in their add, but can't find it on the site?! and see how they respond, if they respond.

It says you can do it with an auxiliary cable. I have Sirius in my car, so I don't need it anyway, but you do have the option of using the auxiliary cable.

I don't see the problem here. So you have to use an audio cable instead of a USB cable. I guess if your car audio system allows you to browse the files on your phone but how is that any different than using the phone?

My car stereo has USB input, but no Bluetooth. Not the end of the world. I'm still getting the Gnex. I will use ipod for music in car.

Not that this will help everyone, but for those (including me) that have the MyFordTouch system it seems we should be able to use the MTP functions.
