IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ IF YOU PLANNED ON ADDING THE PHONE TO YOUR BILL:
It cannot be done. I spoke with a CSR on the phone 15 minutes ago, and she said the phone is not eligible to be added onto a bill. I just received a text from one of my insiders who said the same thing. Fortunately, I have the money (will be scraping together pennies; but its worth it). I just wanted to put this out there in case some of you were planning on walking in, adding it to your bill, and leaving. According to the two people I spoke to, it does not look feasible. I'm glad that I asked. I would have been pissed.
Thank you all for making this trip not only bearable but entertaining, enlightening, and down right amusing.
As of late August or Early September I was lurking and posting in the HTC Vigor thread thinking that was the phone for me, since I thought I was an HTC only guy. Then in October I jumped ship, made the switch and never looked back...sure the phone speaks for itself, but I'm fairly certain it was because of all of you and not just the device.
It's been a crazy ride but I will never look back on all this madness with one negative thought because in the end it was all worth it...and I can say that without even having the phone yet.
Until the next chapter. Thanks again.

I was playing with the phone sim and noticed that in there is a tutorial for "Turn off auto-syncing".
The simulator is wrong. Unselecting this option will allow the phone to sync over the cell towers and will waste your data if you're on a limited plan.
I've reported this to Verizon. Maybe I'll get a credit to my account as a reward?
If not, at least I'll be saving some customers and employees the headache of dealing with data overages related to this.
I can see this being a big problem for parents with teens on a limited data account.

Thank you for contacting Verizon Wireless via our Website, my name is Tamika. I know how important it is to be clear about your options to pursue support for your device, and it is my pleasure to assist you today.
I apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced. Thank you very much for your feedback. Simulators, whether on the Verizon Wireless website or other websites that you may visit, will often require a large volume of data. We would recommend accessing simulators from a desktop or laptop computer, as they will be much easier to view and the screen will provide easier access to the information that is included. Most simulators are not optimized for mobile devices, so this would explain why you may be required to connect to wi-fi.
I do think that it is great that you are interested in simulators and tools that will help you operate your device. I am not sure if you are already aware of this or not, but we have new Workshops! I am glad that you are considering attending one. Our Wireless Workshops are free, and provide hands-on demonstration, and instructions on a variety of topics. To attend a Wireless Workshop, you must sign up online. For your convenience, I will provide you with a direct link to the Workshop section of your website. All you have to do is follow the simple steps on the screen.
BYEEE ALL!!! back to my daily routine...

I've never seen a launch where they don't push accessories hard with some deep discounts. Usually I don't bite, because you'll see them even cheaper on ebay a week later.Where is it mentioned that accessories are 50% off? I want an extended battery and while I won't cough up 50 dollars for one, I think I can swing 25 bucks.
I posted few pages back:ARRG!
I heard the Gnex was going to be released tomorrow...YAY!! So I went to vzw corporate store and had them check my acct for $100 promo. There was a note from CSR stating that I was eligible, though they had not heard of it. They tried to process another 4G phone through as an upgrade to see what would happen. They're computer said I wasn't "tagged", meaning not eligible for that upgrade, despite note from CSR. The manager read from the screen and it said something to the effect of " CSR shall not overwrite promotions and add to account that aren't automatically eligible". I think the CSR I had talked to that said I was eligible for promo made a mistake....a $100 mistake. I very nicely went back and forth with manager and salesman, but in the end there was no way I was getting the promo. Thought you all should be given a heads up for when you go to order and discount is not available. Its bittersweet, happy yet pissed. BTW: all batteries are 1/2 off till Dec 31st. Gnex extended battery is $25. I don't know if any of this has been mentioned, just got home.
sorry for quoting myself/ double posting
