Eric Schmidt's Phone?

What is it?

Good eye.

It looks very, very similar to the render people are calling "fake".

Notice the power button just above his right hand in the second picture?

So let me get this straight: In a short two months, Moto is already offering a much better phone than the Bionic? How ticked are those folks???

I know. But they only have themselves to blame. Delay after delay, no real advertising push, a bunch of very realistic rumors saying that way better phones were coming out in early November. . . .they were locked in.

Poor bastards.

Motorola + Verizon = Locked Bootloader

Verizon - Nexus = Bloatware out the booty

RAZR is a rockin' phone... but it's still in 3rd place for me behind Gnex and Vigor. As stated, it's Samsung's game to lose tonight. The ball is in their court.
Samsung will put some mustard on Moto and eat'em for lunch.

It kind of tapers down on the back. It's not an upward curve like we're expecting on the Nexus.

Does anyone know what carrier he belongs to?

Do you all SERIOUSLY think he has a phone that is available to all of us? He probably had the Galaxy Nexus 6 months ago. What you see in his hands is as likely the G3 as it is anything else. Ask yourself, if you were him would YOU be carrying around a phone that is due to the masses in a month or so or one that the masses dare only dream about in 6-8 months or so. Nuff said.

I've been reading this thread for weeks. I think its time I start contributing.

RAZR looks like nice hardware, but its going to be weighed down by all that extra software they announced.

I don't think it can compare to a device that has been designed from the ground up for ICS.

It's probably the Nexus 5

True, but it really doesn't really resemble the Samsung/Google teaser image. That one was more sleek and tapered. Plus the coloring/material doesn't match up.

Unless the teaser image was misinformation, which I can't see them doing.

Actually, I think it's quite obviously an iPhone 5, you n00b.

I got on the Android train back before the Droid 1 came out because an old friend who worked for Google let me play with it months before it was announced officially -- He always had access to phones early during testing, but that doesn't mean he always accepted them.

50/50 in my book: it's something 6 months done the line or could just be a current phone/upcoming soon

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the executive chairman of Google probably uses many flavors of the week/month and isn't tied to any one carrier.

From the way he's holding it, with both thumbs at the ready, I'd imagine it's some blackberry. Googling about, it seems he's quit fond of them.

Finally you start contributing! :p

I agree. Although if the bootloader gets unlocked and all that software can be deleted, + the addition of pure vanilla roms, it will be a great phone. I'm still leaning hard towards 720p screen though. If the razr had that, it'd be a tough call. Moto has pretty good build quality.

That would be a perfect time for Shmidt to put some bait out there for all of us that are patiently or impatiently waiting for tonight. Whether it is or not who knows.
