what does the non removable battery have anything to do with it? it has an sd card which most of your data would be saved to that. if anything not having an sd card slot would be more of a pain to get your data from.

So i've been cheating on you guys
I just went to the Razr forums and watched a hands on video. I'll admit that I find that hardware intriguing. However, seeing blur with Gingerbread kills any thoughts I would have about the Razr.
When google announced ICS they indicated it was designed for 720p as the native resolution. Can't help but wonder how that will impact ICS on non 720p native phones i.e. the Razr.

It's valid but also pointless in the fact that if his SD card fails he loses all of it, anyway. I always back-up my stuff. Sometimes I make back-ups of my back-ups.
Besides. It's not like he's going to have to backup his phone everyday. 32 gigs is a lot. Its a little when you just throw whatever on it because its 32 gigs. Get my point?
says who? its designed to work in ANY resolution. thats the point of it

He's talking about the whole reason you'd have to take the phone back for a new one in the first place. If the battery were removable, forcing the phone to shutdown or restart would be as simple as a battery pull.

On days where im just going to class/work my nexus is going nekkid. If I'm going out to a party or play a sport its going straight into a case. Same deal I had with my Nexus One. I also had a case that had a slot for two cards. My ID and CC and i never had to bring my wallet anywhere.

Well, there's nothing that's hard bricked my DX yet; I've done almost everything I could with it. When I did break it, I (following instructions) was able to fix myself. I've pulled the battery so many times, I've gone through two covers already. Non removable battery is a no go for me.

This is getting blown out of proportion. Android was well known for having poor support for multiple resolutions. Well, better than iOS and WP7, but Google couldn't keep up with all of the resolutions that OEMs were using. To fix this, Google did a better job in resolution scaling in ICS.
Of course, some developers won't like it. Due to the resolution difference,
Trust me, ICS will run find on the RAZR. All that is left to be known is when Moto has it out, and how badly they slow it down with Sloth...errr...Blur.
EDIT: Correction, I'm aware that most iPhone apps run on the iPad. What I should have said is that Apple allows developers to get away with not optimizing for both platforms, and charging twice. Google requires developers to optimize and only charge once (with the exception of Carrier agreements).

The Android dev site hit the ground running with support for multiple resolutions for ICS. The idea is to support phones and tablets.

and wasn't trying to ruffle any feathers
I was just honestly asking the question as google stated when debuting ICS that it was designed/optimized (can't remember exact phrasing) for 720p.

Does anyone have a link or any documentation as to why the nexus is so "big"? I mean, looking at my thunderbolt if they were to remove the capacitive buttons and make them software buttons the phone would stay the same size. As much as I 98% want the nexus (soft keys hopefully completely removed with roms). I certainly hope another maker steps up and makes a 4.7" phone under 5". I'd drop the nexus in a heartbeat assuming it could back it up with the "goods."
I'm sure that will happen just not anytime soon.
But that is what the power and volume button(or whatever it will be) would serve as.

Guys, you gotta get outside, get some fresh air in your lungs! Play with your kids, walk the dogs, go out on a date night with your wife/husband, live some life!
I was feeling seriously burnt out on the whole Nexus thing yesterday. Then I went out for a night on the town with the wife and some friends, today I saw the wonderful, beautiful, unimaginably breathtaking Bears game beaming to a 54" super rich big screen tv from Old London, spent the evening dining and spending quality time with some friends who just returned from Chile and was regaled with awesome stories from their trips.
Suddenly, the Galnexusaurus didn't seem like the most important thing in my life. I caught myself not caring if it comes out on November 10, or December 31. I realized that the most important things in life are those who you love and love you back, that our lives are but an exhalation and a passing shadow, and that we must make the most of it by being the best we can be to those around us and above us.
Life is wonderful!
So, who cares if it's 16GB, 32 GB, no SD slot, 2 SD slots, crappy glass or Gorilla Glass. . .it's a phone!
Aaah, I feel so liberated and free!!!
