I'm several hours late in responding but I've given this some thought. Delayed is delayed. Verizon has a schedule even though it doesn't seem like it. Just because they haven't announced it does not mean is hasn't been delayed. From what I'm seeing with the information available to us, it is indeed delayed.
 
I do not like this 24th w/o release talk. My contract ends on the 17th and i have been holding onto my upgrade for 4 months waiting for a phone and this is it. My question is if my contract ends before it comes out, should i upgrade to the razr and return it when the nexus comes out or can i pay for an additional month to cover that next week?

How do you know this isn't what they planned on releasing it in the first place? Just because so called sources said different doesnt mean verizon was planning to launch it before then, so therefore since you or I do not work for verizon can't say it is delayed.

Welcome to the forums, PSU!

Once your contract expires, you automatically go month-to-month. No action necessary... unless something has changed of which I am unaware.

Not that THAT ever happens :rolleyes:

Actually it said the 21st. You will just be on month to month and pay what you currently are paying now and then can upgrade once the nexus launches.

When your contract ends, nothing happens. You automatically go on a month-to-month plan. You're fine.
 
Thanks for the welcome! i'm just worried that verizon for some obscure reason would take away my unlimited data if i went month to month automatically. it wouldnt surprise me if they tried to do that

Nexus with unlimited data? soo much better than my friends old blackberry pearl im struggling with currently
 
Wow I really hope it is not the 21st and web only...I am still holding on to hope that is the 17th. And aren't phones normally released on Thursday's? The 21st is a Monday...

Who knows with Verizon anymore.

I agree, if it's web-only on the 21st, I think I'll have to wait until after Thanksgiving to pick one up. Not much of a chance the GNEX would arrive before I left town for the holidays, and no way I'm spending the holidays fiddling setting up a new phone.

Actually just the opposite. Your two year contract actually continues indefinately past the two years, as long as you keep paying.

It's when you upgrade and sign a new contract that you have to watch for the "gotchas".

True and the converse is true as well. Just because it hasn't been announced to the public doesn't mean it hasn't been delayed.

We don't have any 100% credible information so every viewpoint is equally possible. I choose to think there have been delays.

I don't care when it's released, as long as it's sometime this year. A few days or a couple weeks here or there, no big deal. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have it yesterday. But I can't so I can wait. My big, ummm, screened SGN and I will be united soon enough! You're all invited to the wedding!
