Didn't we establish a few weeks ago that it has something just as good as gorilla glass? Or was that unsubstantiated? I'm a bit weary of this, because I prefer not to have a screen protector on mine. The dinc has gorilla glass, right? All I know is my dinc screen has help up very well. I'm hoping the nexus' screen will as well.
 
Terrible night. All the stupid rain here in Cincinnati has caused my basement to flood. The problem is compounded by the fact that I have no flood insurance. I finally sit down to read this thread and see we have a unconfirmed confirmation of EPIC proportions. Thanks for picking me up tonight. I needed it.

Ok....this is hopefully going to be my last post before I purchase my SGN.

I saw some talk earlier about people who were fed up with waiting. Nothing new. But, one person said something to the effect of "I've waited this long, I may as well just wait for the TP to come out." What is the TP? The only thing I could think of is Transformer Prime, but that's a tablet, no? So what would that have to do with phones?

All we really know is it has some form of "fortified glass". If that is as good as Gorilla Glass, I don't think anyone knows for sure (unless I missed the answer in one of the bajillion posts in this thread :D )

What do you guys think? I wouldn't be surprised. If this happens I bet a ton of people are going to be upset until people start finding out they can just go to the store and buy it on Thursday/Friday. :D
 
I would reiterate that Verizon typically changes the website stuff at 12:00 am CST, but considering they did away with the 7 day promo at around 8:30pm tonight it's anybody's guess.

But I seriously doubt anything will happen tonight...just doesn't fit.

Real sorry to hear that what a bummer. Hope the waters recede and you and family/friends are well and safe.
 
This wouldn't be a surprise. Happens all the time in Tech (soft launch, not much promo if any). Not to mention it's good for us Phanatics who will be there on Thrusday without the mainstream people coming in for it.

yes he was talking about transformer prime and it has to do with his money allotment that he has to spend on either a tablet or phone.
 
well looks like im getting my case a day early

looks like its shipping straight from my state, when i ordered it, the predicted date was Wednesday. just wish i had a phone to put in it

Yep, it's fortified glass, which is basically Gorilla Glass without the brand name.
