***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

So with the release of the GNex being most likely this Friday and as a major lurker of this thread, although I did make a few posts about 1,000 pages ago, I just wanted to dedicate this post (which will most likely get buried) to by far the best phone I've ever owned.

That phone would be none other than my Original Gangsta Droid 1. Before it, I went through no less than 5 LG Chocolates and an extremely problematic BB Pearl. My OG Droid however, has trucked along for two problem free years and has taken everything I've thrown at her; drops, scrapes, dozens of ROMs, shady side-loaded apps; you name it, she's done it all. Even though I curse it for occasionally slowing down because I force it to run GB, it'll always hold a special place in my technological heart.

So for all of you still rocking the OG Droid, let's have a moment of silence for a great piece of hardware as we move on to another superb smartphone.

I don't even think I can sell it, it's just that damn good.

I bought Droids for me and my wife when they came out. My wife has moved on to a new phone, so her old Droid is now used for games for my 5 year old daughter. Kind of like a really small Android Tablet.

What is the hole on the back of this cover for? Is there a vent there on the Nexus? I couldn't see a phone getting so hot that it needs a vent like that.

Once phones start needing vents.... im out

No preorder tonight, figures. Good news though, the price of the featurephone I'm planning on getting my mom with my new Verizon account just dropped by 50 bucks. Saving money!

Night everybody!

Can believe I keep wondering back here when I have a Calc 2 final tomorrow. Well, I can believe it, but my ADD chooses to ignore it.

Anyways, anyone else had any luck getting a CSR to give up info on the 3G to 4G $100 dollar discount?? That would be amazing considering I'm in college and still have all my Christmas shopping to do.

The good news about being in Asia is I can have the forum to myself for a while each day. The bad news is that I won't be home when the GNEX finally hits the streets. At least I've started working on pulling in my upgrade date...
