It is not happening. I know it's hard to accept, but just relax and get comfortable with it. There is something seriously wrong going on with the release of this phone and it's not just that the 4G network went down, or that Verizon is pissed their date was leaked. No, there is something really preventing this phone from coming out, and we may never know what it is. At this point, I also have serious doubts about next week. No one knows what the hell is going on with this phone, except for a select group of people very high up at Verizon, so don't believe any rumor or leaked document you see/hear. Until Verizon says so, this phone DOES NOT EXIST. Verizon has until the end of the year, and I don't see any indication that they're in any rush to get this phone out the door. So I'd say, just assume it's coming out on the 31st, and if it comes before that, then so be it.

Also, there is NOTHING to prevent them from pushing it into next year. I don't care what their original press release says about "later this year". That is not a contract that is upheld by the law. That was a press release, and no more. This phone will come out when it comes out. Verizon doesn't care about you. I'm sorry to be such a downer.

I agree there's nothing coming tomorrow but..

I completely disagree with "Until Verizon says so, this phone DOES NOT EXIST." No, it does exist. Whether or not we get it in our hands you can debate.

Also all we have is speculation and rumors to discuss at this point. It's simply to pass the time. If we were to just wait until "Verizon says so", then really there's no point to further discussion in this thread and it should be locked till otherwise.
 
Here is one thing I'm taking away from this thread.....
Some of the people here should consider a career in telesales, Telemarketing, Collections..... The sheer perseverance to continuously harass csrs and store employees too give you info they don't have, can't share, or have no clue of is very amusing! Lol!

Well, strike one for a release tomorrow. Called and talked to the rep that had said they had stock and it would be released Friday and she confirmed it was pushed back and they have no date...however, she stuttered quite a bit which was not how she acted the other day. I think they know, they just aren't allowed to say. She did re-confirm they have them in stock though. She also took my name and number (like the other 4 stores I've called) and said she would call me when she heard something...yeah right.

I'm originally from La but sadly I'm not there anymore. :( I am still a hardcore Saints fan, though, and have been all my life. I'm not one of the bandwagoners! I do hope you appreciate all the wonderful food. I miss it so much.
 
For everybody that says don't blame VZW or they never gave a date I say the following.

It.is true that some of the earlier dates were based on conjecture. As for the reps setting appointments and such, that is CONFORMATION.

I have had it with VZW! No phone tomorrow = unlocked Nexus and AT&T! Verizon, you just flat out suck and are mean, like a little fat kid burning ants with a magnifying glass. Get bent Verizon

I didn't say there was something wrong with the phone. I said there was something wrong with the release of the phone. Contract disputes between Samsung, Google, and Verizon, bad sales of the RAZR, who knows. I'm 90% convinced the phone itself is ready to go. But there is something else going on here.

can you tell me how you got them to give that to you . When i called they 611 they said it did not exist. they have never heard of that discount. I live in the midwest as well.

just wondering if you would give me more info on what you told them or how it happened.

After processing my request, she voluntarily checked to see the status of the release date for the SGN, and put me on hold for a few minutes. She said that on yesterday, it was the 9th, but that another e-mail was sent out declaring the release date undefined.

I know a lot of rumors have been swirling about whether the SGN is going to be released tomorrow or not, but at least from my phone call, it doesn't sound like there is a release date yet #whatelseisnew.

But do take advantage of that discount. It is super easy to get! Just note the criteria listed in the first paragraph.

Can we just stop with the "I just called and found out it won't be released tomorrow" posts? I think it's pretty well established at this point that we won't be getting it tomorrow and we are back in recon mode trying to figure out when/if this thing ever sees the light of day.
