the info i have is concerning the release date and i can only be cretin of this in VA my manager friend looked through every computer system he could find and no stores in the VA and dc area have the phones in stock from what he could see so he and i am 100% certain the phone will not drop tomorrow at least here in VA and if it were to come out he would have know about it by now and i would be telling you about it

If this is what Verizon has been planning all along - then the leaks/blog press shows tomorrow as the day and their plans are foiled - wouldn't all of today's chaos be a brilliant way of proceeding with a silent launch tomorrow? I mean how many readers of this forum are going to go to the dealer tomorrow if the general consensus is that next week is it. They could be feeding different stories to different CSR's/departments simply to confound the whole situation. Would it make ANY business sense to release less than a week before christmas (or even after)? Brilliant marketing if they really do want a silent launch.

Seriously though, I can't see why they'd so adamantly say there was no release date if they really intended to release tomorrow. It's not like they want to make sure people don't show up- they still want to sell the phone.

What botched software update? 4.1? Testers like P3 said they worked fine.

If you think these pix will give you a firm date as to the Nex launch, you're about to be disappointed. Anyone can say anything and people just are ready to faint. There is no official word from Verizon and nobody knows...period!
