I too am very happy with my 1750 battery. I used the hell out of it all day yesterday and its done better than my iphone 3g, iphone 3gs, palm pre battery ever did. I love it! I highly recommend the 1750 battery, it makes the incredible well ummm incredible. haha

I've always been a heavy smartphone user, I use about 6000 text messages a month, I check email constantly, I stream web video, I do it all. Seriously....and I'm happy. That says a lot!

I am happy on the first day of owning it and I expect the performance to increase in 5 or 6 charges from now.

Markyd: I bought mine here:
http://store.androidcentral.com/seidio-innocell-1750mah-extended-battery/8A37A6399.htm

It appears to be back-ordered everywhere I look!!! jeez!!

Here's real world results from yesterday:

Off charger at 7:45AM - 100%
11:45PM ( 16 hours later) - 33% left

Usage:

  • Facebook, Twitter, NewsRob, DoggCatcher, Weather - all refreshing every hour
  • Bluetooth, GPS, Wifi, Mobile Network - Always on. Connected to WiFi AP maybe for 5 hours out of the 16
  • Live Wallpaper - NexusMod
  • Auto brightness
  • 2 hours of phone calls
  • 3 hours connected to BT in my Audi (with some phone calls taking place using it)
  • 1 hour connected to BT headset (with some phone calls taking place using it)
  • Listened to podcasts/music using A2DP/BT for about 2 hours total during day
  • GMail Push using Gmail app (got about 50 emails)
  • Sent/received about 250 text messages
  • 45 minutes of browsing
  • Installed 5 apps and tried them out
That's all I can remember but basically I used the HELL out of the phone without thinking twice about the battery and this thing blew me away. I've never seen any phone, not my previous iPhone 3G, Palm Pre, Sprint Hero or anything that could pull this off.

I can't imagine what the 2100 mah battery will be like but I'm EXTREMELY happy with the battery life.

Any questions?

I am glad to hear that you are getting this kind of performance out of the 1750mah battery. (Mine is scheduled to arrive on 5/12).

Could you give me an estimate of around how long your stock battery was lasting?

Thanks,
Eipee73

best place to buy this? amazon shows a 2-4 week backorder.

Depends on what you want, you can try to find it available now or you could save yourself 10-15 bucks by ordering from Amazon. I got mine for $41.00 and free shipping from Amazon.

This certainly sounds promising, I would gladly shell out $50 for the battery if I knew it was going to perform the way it is for you guys. The only thing that still concerns me is the discrepancy that seems to be floating around these forums about the Seido batteries. I have seen several other posters be strongly against ordering a Seido battery, saying that the products are not even as good a stock, and that they are a fraud in some cases. So, why the night and day differences of opinion is my only concern? Do you think the quality control is bad and it is a mixed bag of batteries and some people get good ones and others get stuck with a defective one? Again, $50 for a great battery like Mobilehavoc has gotten is a no brainer for me, but $50 for a worthless battery that has even been tagged with "fraud" status is not something I want to spend my money on. Any thoughts to these claims?

I couldn't tell you unfortunately. I got the Incredible on 4/28 and the 1750mah battery on 4/29 so didn't have the stock long enough to know.

Use DFN10 as a coupon code and get 10% off, except you have to spend at least $50 and the extended battery is $49.95. Plus, they have a free shipping event for Mother's Day...ordered mine yesterday along with an extra charger to break the $50 mark.

This is on Seidio's site.

Just in case you didn't see my other posts in older threads, here are my stats using a Seidio 1750 mAh extended battery for the Eris but in the Incredible of course :

I removed the phone from the charger just after midnight the night before (May 3rd 2010) -- I had my mobile data setting to "Always On" :

UpTime: 25:10:20
AwakeTime: 10:13:23
Battery %:6 %
Wifi: On (Only on for 2 hours 25 minutes)
GPS: Off
Bluetooth: Off

Unplugged time: 22:03:02
cell standby: 27%
android system :24 %
phone idle : 23%
voice calls: 11%
display: 7%
wi-fi: 4%
dialer: 3%

22hr 4min since unplugged :D

My usage pattern: basically a fairly even mix of reading emails (46), calls (47 mins), texts (20), android market downloads (6 apps), watched a video from podkast (6 mins), listened to a couple audio podkasts, watched the new Boondocks Season 3 ep 1 for 23 minutes (converted the video to H.264 mp4), used touiteur for about 15 minutes, listened to music for about an hour, and composed a couple of emails throughout the day.

All in all a pretty good run I'd say -- now if any of you guys are getting those kind of numbers from the stock battery, guess who's gonna be returning an extended battery? :P

I just ordered from Amazon: Estimated Shipping = May 27th
If someone finds it in stock somewhere please post so I can cancel this order.

More stats for you guys who are thinking about the Seidio 1750 mAh extended battery! (These results are from May 4th 2010) Unplugged from 6:35am EST :)

UpTime: 57:24:27
AwakeTime: 23:00:27
Battery %:2 %
Wifi: Off
GPS: On (for an hour)
Bluetooth: Off

cell standby: 28%
phone idle : 26%
android system :19 %
maps: 9%
voice calls: 9%
display: 5%
camera: 2%
dialer: 2%

Unplugged time: 1d 0h 0m 27s :D Note ***(8 hrs of this time was spent sleeping -- lost 7% battery charge overnight!)

usage pattern: less voice calls yesterday than day before. Only about 30 minutes or so throughout the day. Same amount of emails (40) and texts (15), but listened to more music (2 hrs), used gps (1 hour), more android market downloads (4), camera usage (4 pics or so), internet browsing, twittering with touiteur, used News Rob a bit, used eBuddy IM in the background for half the night, etc.

All in all, not too shabby. Though I wasn't impressed when I got home 12 hours later (after unplugging at 6:35am yesterday morning) and my battery was at 38%, but I was using a lot throughout the day truthfully.

This is again from the Seidio extended battery (1750 mAh). I am going to run stock battery today and for the remainder of the week to do comparisons. I'm a little nervous

Thanks!

Yup! Pretty much. The only other one that can fit AND has a higher capacity, is the OEM Touch Pro2 battery found here ---->

What's the capacity on this one?
