the incredible actually looks pretty attractive now (would hit it if i was drunk maybe). but, with the extended battery case, it turns it into an ugly, big phone.

Im a bit torn here

Every Verizon person I have spoken to has confirmed it..First it was my source within Verizon. Second was the salesperson at a store in Downtown Pittsburgh-Third was at the Verizon call center when I called in. 4th was the store I called earlier today...

(My source was good--the only reason I contacted the other three people at Verizon was to see if they had the batteries in stock or could ship them-they are supposed to be in the stores by early next week)

I just used the link provided in the post I quoted and I suggest everyone follow suit.

I requested that they produce Commuter/Defender Case for Extended and Non Extended Batterys for the Droid Incredible, and followed it up by describing the immense interest shown in these forums and in others as well. I also mentioned that I would be purchasing one and recommending them to my friends too.

this man speaks the truth. i had an otterbox commuter case on my droid and loved it. screen protector was also amazing
 
do you like the material or the pattern? if its the material you like, its the same as the verizon "silicon" case

well both the pattern and material but mostly the material. But the colors are way better than the blinding bright red or deathly black of the verizon cases.
 
Oh ok. I'm sure they will pop-up on eBay soon. That's where thesetypes of cases showed up first. The patter- infact is the same. I wouldn't be suprised if the cases all came from the same factory

Here's real world results from yesterday:

Off charger at 7:45AM - 100%
11:45PM ( 16 hours later) - 33% left

Usage:

  • Facebook, Twitter, NewsRob, DoggCatcher, Weather - all refreshing every hour
  • Bluetooth, GPS, Wifi, Mobile Network - Always on. Connected to WiFi AP maybe for 5 hours out of the 16
  • Live Wallpaper - NexusMod
  • Auto brightness
  • 2 hours of phone calls
  • 3 hours connected to BT in my Audi (with some phone calls taking place using it)
  • 1 hour connected to BT headset (with some phone calls taking place using it)
  • Listened to podcasts/music using A2DP/BT for about 2 hours total during day
  • GMail Push using Gmail app (got about 50 emails)
  • Sent/received about 250 text messages
  • 45 minutes of browsing
  • Installed 5 apps and tried them out
That's all I can remember but basically I used the HELL out of the phone without thinking twice about the battery and this thing blew me away. I've never seen any phone, not my previous iPhone 3G, Palm Pre, Sprint Hero or anything that could pull this off.

I can't imagine what the 2100 mah battery will be like but I'm EXTREMELY happy with the battery life.

I must say that I have the extended battery also and have noticed a much longer battery life. I love it! The standard HTC battery is just a backup now that I take with me on longer travels for that any emergency. :)
