I installed my Zagg screen protector with the liquid and I really dont like it. I never understood what orange peel was. When I heard people talking about it, I thought they meant that the sides were peeling up or something. After installing it, I clearly understand. The surface of my Zagg is not smooth and actually quite bumpy, like an orange peel. My biggest complaint about the Zagg is that it has too much resistance when I drag my finger across the screen. The verizon screen protector was very smooth and had very little resistance although it only covered part of the front. I also ordered a stealth guard but it came in defective. I called them and they are sending a new one. I will try it but it feels like it will also have too much resistance. The stealth guard has the 3M logo on the back. I am interested in something like the Verizon version that would provide coverage for the entire screen.

I agree, the zagg look just terrible. See? :D

Ordered today, no hassles but I used the eBay excuse. Got my tracking number this evening with a delivery scheduled for Monday. Maybe they will sneak it in on Friday instead. :D

It's amazing to me that this company isn't jumping over itself to sell us these cases considering how much money they stand to make; who should care what phone it's being used for. The fact that we had to lie to buy the thing is just crazy. All in all I'm looking forward to getting mine tomorrow.

this is the million dollar question. i am wondering this too.

can anyone give us a definitive answer?

I have the black silicone case (slip in case, not a hard shell case) and the phone fits in the sleeve it is a TIGHT fit. I am guessing it would not fit with the hard cover case since they are a bit thicker.

I have zagg and Really actually like it, a lot of people hate it here and most have never tried it. It is somewhat sticky, but you really dont need to press hard at all on these screens so if your finger is getting stuck, dont press so hard..

I just installed mine so I'll weigh in on it. I got it on with no air bubbles and no noticeable dust under the screen, but it was a painstaking process to do so.

It does a very good job of resisting fingerprints. Works as advertised.

But I have never used an anti-fingerprint before, and I will say that the loss of clarity is VERY noticeable. It does not make the screen hard to read or anything like that, but it is very obvious that the screen has something on it causing it to be somewhat blurry and dull as compared to a crystal clear screen protector.

Previously I had the Verizon screen protector on, and with that I could barely tell anything was on the screen, so I imagine the Steinheil Crystal Clear would be at least as good as that. With the Anti-Fingerprint, you instantly know something is on the screen reducing clarity somewhat. Anybody that says an Anti-Fingerprint screen protector is nearly as clear as a Crystal Clear screen protector is smoking crack.

Overall I like it and will leave it on, but it will definitely take some getting used to.

Looks awesome, I could only hope mine looks as good as yours. I have a bunch of very micro bubbles in the middle, hopefully they will dissipate when it sets. How are you liking the texture of it though? Is your finger movement responsive enough for you?

The one thing I must say is in the 5 or so times I've used InvisibleSheilds, with Zagg and the former company, I've never had a scratched screen or even a scratched shield. They are really heavy duty and I assume thats the reasoning for the orange peel effect.

No offense, I do respect your opinion, but I am looking for people who have hands on experience with these shields. I may be wrong, but I am going to assume you havn't tried every one of the shields that you listed.

No worries bro, no offense taken. I actually used Zagg's for years and years. Well before Zagg even owned them. They were absolutely outstanding.....about 10 years ago and for non-touch screen devices. I used them on almost everything back then and they were great.

For touch screen devices, not so much. Too much orange peel and too tacky to the touch. No bueno.

As for the other companies I listed, I actually have tried about half of them. Phantom Skinz, BSE, Wrapsol, Boxwave and BodyGuardz. They are all better than Zagg in my opinion. The others I have done some research on. Steinheil and Clarivue are apples to oranges since they are static cling, plastic types. Ghost Armor is comparable but I have never used one. I did see on in person though at the mall and it had less orange peel than Zagg.

Again, all of this is just my opinion. For the money, Zagg is a very poor choice. There are better out there for less.

I really like zagg because of the 50% discount codes, lifetime warranty (just driving to the mall and getting a new one for free). If BestSkinsEver had a lifetime warranty I would use it instead.

No. Almost anything is better than Zagg in my opinion. Phantom Skinz, BSE (Best Skins Ever), Wrapsol, Steinheil, Clarivue, Boxwave, Ghost Armor, BodyGuardz.....the list goes on and on.
Having used PhantomSkinz, Zagg, BSE, Brando, and BoxWave, I agree.

I have a Zagg on right now that I'm going to return and replace with a PhantomSkin. I bought one on impulse with a 50% off code and completely forgot that I had a PhantomSkin on my last phone. Even with 50% off, Zagg was still more expensive than PhantomSkinz ($10 vs. $8, and with PhantomSkinz you get two). They also have a lifetime warranty.

This is why Zagg sucks: http://justanotheriphoneblog.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/orange001.jpg

Not to mention that they aren't as slick to move your finger across as PhantomSkinz.

Personally, I've always used Zagg's Invisible Shield on all my devices. I've always loved the texture and grip-like feel it gives the phone.

This time around I decided not to go with the Invisible Shield though... Mainly because I was in the store, the phone was available and in stock and i needed a cover that day. Sadly I gave into the crappy little verizon ones. They've been doing a pretty good job of protecting this phone though.

As far as I can tell, the surface around the screen hasn't been easily scratched after dropping it several times. The back is also made of plastic so there's really no worries there...

I'm going to go ahead and say that the Invisible Shield isn't entirely necessary for this device, but I still kind of wish I had one on it. The verizon/hong kong screen protectors seem to get the job done well enough.

Its a Trade off, No Finger Prints and In return U loose a little bit of Clarity and Vibrancy. Honestly, it never bothered me on my iphone. However for the Incredible I will be putting the clear one on and taking the anti glare off. The screen is just to beautiful to cover up. Even if it means a few finger prints.

I have a Zagg. Love the protection hate how it went on. Don't know if it was just mine but it was cut a tad small as well. I am going to order Martin Fields when they are finally released.

The anti-glare I have on my iPod touch is amazing. Hmm... what to do now.. :-/ I definitely need something to protect the front, and was banking on the SGP anti-fingerprint. What would everyone suggest now? I am disappointed in the Steinheil one..

Thanks!!! Now I feel better about ordering the Crystal (which should be at my house in tomorrow's mail - the tracking number shows it at a sorting facility near me).

Once I get home with the phone (last day of being sickening careful with it - thank god I got the N1 sleeve at least)..... I'll install it.

I don't have anything to take video other than the phone itself, so if people want I'll take photos.

I just need some kind of case to come out. Don't get me wrong, I love rocking this phone naked with a shirt on, but I'm just so scared one of these times... it will drop! D:

They must have improved their screens a lot since that one was installed becasue mine looks nothing like that; my Zagg is smooth and has almost no peel feeling or look to it.

That being said I also ordered a Steinheil because I like the idea of the cystal clear screen. I'll let you know what I think when I get it. I also ordered the Steinheil because the VZN silicone case messed up my Zagg and I hear the Steinheil is a tad bit smaller and should work with the VZN case.

How does the screen feel when you drag your finger across it? I use swype and that's my main issue with selecting a screen protector. I heard/read somewhere that the anti fingerpring Steinheil was particularly good for swypeing.

But the loss of clarity you mentioned kind of sucks. Hmmm.

Yeah if I could do it over I would probably get the Crystal Clear.

My main reason for posting this thread was just to make clear that the Steinheil Anti-Fingerprint is noticeably less clear and vibrant even than the Verizon screen protector. I had definitely read some things suggesting that the Anti-Fingerprint was hardly visibly different from the Crystal Clear... and unless the Crystal Clear is significantly worse than Verizon's protector... then there is definitely a noticeable difference between the two.

Called them back again today since I still never got an email. He said it should be here Friday, but I at least got the tracking number. When I tracked it earlier today it said Friday delivery, but now its says Monday. Bummer. Not sure why they waited so long to ship it out.
