How does the screen feel when you drag your finger across it? I use swype and that's my main issue with selecting a screen protector. I heard/read somewhere that the anti fingerpring Steinheil was particularly good for swypeing.

But the loss of clarity you mentioned kind of sucks. Hmmm.

Screen feels great. Perhaps even less finger drag than the naked screen itself, and certainly no more.

Edit: come to think of it, it feels quite similar to the mouse trackpad on my MacBook, but slightly less resistance.

I love my Invisibleshield. After a week of use, that 'stickiness' of the screen is gone. Can't even tell theres a shield on it.

I don't have complete stats but today I got 14 hours 30 minutes. 30 minutes of browsing, exchange active sync receiving like 30 emails and sending a few as well, facebook, twitter and yahoo email sync. The big drain though was 3 and a half hours of streaming pandora.

I'm suitably impressed.

1st day with the seidio....

i used the 3g internet while i was bored at work, plus downloaded 3 program updates, and ~7 programs/widgets, 35 minutes of phone calls, and ~50 texts sent + the received ones, checked mail a couple times, weather, took a couple pictures, messed around with a new brightness widget, used package tracker a couple times, and looked at maps for a couple minutes....

up time : 15:16:00
Awake time: 3:22:00
since unplugged: 15h 14m 00s

8% battery left

cell standby 31% - time w/o a signal 10%
android system 24%
phone idle 23% - time on says 12h 40m
voice calls 11%
display 7% - on for 2h 34m
camera 2%
internet 2%

sync 1 gmail and 1 yahoo account every 6 hours, update weather widget every 3 hrs, also with the gps location thing on all day, tiny bit of wifi and bluetooth

sooo the phone idle when you click on it says time on is 12h40m and says thats the battery used when phone is idle..... should this time really be this high? what does other peoples phone idle say when you click on it?

any one get their crystal clear yet? i just got mine and my phone is all of a sudden is possessed. it keep selecting things i'm not selecting and scrolling to the right. help!!! i rebooted (and pulled battery) about 10 times already. i want to see if someone else have the same problem before i pull this thing off. i've done the two calibration already as well. g-calibration and Settings > Language and Keyboard > Touch Input > Text Input > Calibration Tool.

help!!!

edit: ok figured out what my problem was. there's a portion that goes thru the optical joystick (it's a cutout). i left it there so it didn't like that. i took that portion out and it works great now. phew!!! i'm glad i didn't take the whole thing out.

I bought a random one for the iPhone off ebay for like 5 bucks, it fits pretty snugly and has a clear pouch so you can still use the phone... not the easiest thing to do though when its attached to your arm, out in the sun, trying to look through the clear plastic though.

Take it off! Have you tried that yet? Did you install it with the screen on?

Take a picture for us your the 1st I've heard with their Steinheil :)

Looks like a decent deal for a savings of $12 over the cost of this case through Seidio (when it'll be available).

What I want to know is how will they decide what color to send to you? It looks like the same case is currently available in 7 different colors for the Nexus One.

Hmm I just logged in to the SGP Store and my order which was placed early Monday morning on 5/10/2010 says "Processing" lol oh well they will get here when they get here :D

I put a Body Glove case on my Incredible and so far it's been great. I'll probably grab an Otterbox case when they come out though.........:D

I wish I could find some evidence that they were GONNA make an Otterbox for it

I'd actually prefer a CandyShell, but they dont make cases for anything but iPhones.

If you guys head over to Seidio's website and look at the accessories for the Incredible, you'll notice they have the coming soon next to the Surface with a picture of how it's going to look. :)

Here is a link for those too lazy! :)

EDIT: Also, it looks like a mock up/prototype because it looks a little rough. However, when the product does finally ship, I can bet it's going to look as good as the Eris case.

Yeah CandyShell rocks! I know its not "evidence", but someone posted an email from Otterbox stating there was one in the works. Being the impatient person that I am I might just order the Innocase and get an Otterbox later nothing wrong with variety I guess.

^ Do you have the name or a picture of how that looks? I wouldn't mind not being able to use it. I just want to use my running app and play music. As long as the strap is secure around my phone.

^this.

I'm pretty much phasing out my iPod Touch and actually am about to sell it just because this phone does everything I want it to do and more.

Can you give any tips on how you installed it?

Anything you would have done different?

You slide the phone into the pocket from the inside of the band, the fit is really snug and virtually no chance of the phone falling out, only problem is every once in a while I'll accidentally push the volume button on the side of the phone, but no big deal.

Yeesh, this is making it very hard to choose. The 2 most important things about a protector to me are the clarity and the feel of the screen (i.e. drag). It sounds like the AF gives up clarity for great feel while the Crystal Clear gives up feel for clarity. Argh! I can't decide!

I am waiting for my BoxWave Anti-glares to show, but I can attest to the difference between a good antiglare/antifingerprint protector and naked.

If you are uninitiated, it will take a bit to get used to the "look", but once you do, you will not want to go back. I use them on everything and love them. I honestly haven't had to "clean" my Garmin in over a year.

On my Storm, I tried to switch to the Crystal-Clears to take advantage of the pretty colors, but I went back in less than 24hrs; once you see what life without fingerprints is like, it's hard to live with the mess that the screen is without them. (And I found the Crystal Clears to be worse than naked as far as smudging).

I also like the touch/feel of the AG's; they add a little texture to the screen which I am looking forward to with Swype.

The BoxWaves in general are HIGHLY recommended. I have a drawer full of "other" brands that I have tried thru the years, but every device I currently have is rocking a BoxWave.

I have to agree with nightfishing. My Dad and I got HTC Incredibles at that same time, and we immediately plopped a Zagg antiglare, anti-fingerprint screen on his, and a Verizon brand clear one on mine. Three hours later I wanted to knock him over in a dark alley and switch his phone for mine, and hope nobody noticed.

But they would have. His screen is always flawless now, no prints, no smudges, no little pieces of lint. And mine, well, I can't seem to go twenty minutes without having to swipe at it to clean it. You take a slight loss in brightness, but more than make up for it in increased vision outside in daylight. Your "95%" brightness is always shown to its best.

Texture wise, I do have a question. My Dad's Zagg cover has some noticeable drag. It's not nearly as pleasant to the touch as mine. Any advice on brands that would give me good antiglare, anti-fingerprint, but not have the drag? Steinheil sounds promising, I'd just like some confirmation.

zagg is nothing like any of the anti-glare screen protectors out there

Can you elaborate? I know that his is military grade scratch resistant, and comes with a year warranty, but it also is fingerprint proof, and cuts down on glare ($19.99 Best Buy, $8 dollars to have them install it perfectly for you). To be honest I'm not very familiar with what any of the other brands are offering...

Hello everyone!!

I just ordered a BoxWave ClearTouch Anti-Glare for my Incredible. I chose priority shipping (3-5 days) so AS SOON as I receive and install this protector I will post pictures and a review. I should be getting it sometime next week.

p.s. I checked Seidio's website and it looks like they have images of the Innocase II Surface on an Incredible (front and back only). Just in case you wanted to get a general idea of how it will look. Looks like a "prototype" just to give you something to look at, but still...
