Yes they do, but there are TONS of ways around that. I have it for free on my Dare. Have had it for a while now.

On a side note, hope you have requested your Google Voice One Number, it won't be an issue anymore when you have that.

Ooh, do tell. I want VVM bad but hate the idea of giving Verizon money for the privilege. I already have Google Voice but don't think I can rely on it. How can we get around it?

Eventually games will get larger. I have an Ipod Touch and some games are well over 100MBs.

He's right. Right now Android doesn't have the great looking, high functionality apps that the ipod touch and iphone have because of the limited app space. With more space for apps, the bigger and better the apps can be.

Ya I don't think he realizes that a lot of the apps are 100k lol. i know this because I checked it out on my brothers moto droid. A game will probably

this has been a limiting factor on android since day 1. either manufacturers will start including more on phone storage and drive up cost, or Google will allow apps to install on SD card and risk piracy.

Oh, hell yes.

I have spent the last two years dealing with a dam LG Voyager which broke a few months ago and was replaced by a enV Touch. Minor upgrade to the Voyager, but still ridiculously clumsy UI. My contract is up and I'm ready for something Incredible. BRING ON THE ANDROID!!!! :)

I've also got a Voyager and have been holding off on the Droid waiting for this. My contract has been up since last Nov., so I am more than ready.

yes, up to 32 gb microSD + 8 GB internal.

I'm not entirely sure about this, but I don't believe 32gb is the SDHC spec limit... there just aren't 64GB cards that are going to be available for awhile.

the sdhc spec limit is 32gb. the sdxt limit is 2 tb.

Not too thrilled about the Verizon logo on the front...

A little sand paper, touch up paint (or your favorite nail polish) and you'll be find. Trust me.

512MB ROM for apps?! That would reek. One of the biggest issues with Android today is that apps are restricted to the built in ROM. 512MB is too small for a serious smartphone. Heck, there are some iPhone apps that by themselves larger than that. As an example, Myst is 700MB.
I "think" that this restriction is really about Android market so that there isn't an easy way to copy apps to someone else's phone.
It can also be worked around if you root and rearrange the file system, but its a huge hassle.
It's my understanding that the executable for the app itself needs to reside in rom. However, resources the app uses does not. So in the case of something like Myst the small executable sits in rom and most of the 700MB gets put on external storage. I don't have an adroid phone yet to say for sure if that is the case but from what I have read in other places that is how it was said to work.

Great catch !

Hmm,

Full 1ghz. Gotta use antenna-laced headphone for FM. No micro SD included.

All we need need now is VZW's new competitive data/text/voice plans.
Is Verizon going to drop their plan prices? Why does http://testman.verizonwireless.com show unlimited plans for $39 individual and $69 family (2 lines)?
Its not like a simple typo. The prices are listed in images. Someone had to specifically create them with the description and price as if it was big news.

See thats getting into a handheld gaming device, not a phone/smartphone. Maybe its just me and a select few who like to work from their device, and have work to do rather than lounging around all day playing games on my phone. If I want to game on the move, I get out my laptop.

yeah I knew about the shortcuts, i had the Driod for a month. but i wanted to be able to press one button on the keypad to dial a contact. never seen this done an andriod device w/o getting an app for it. and the ones i've tried wasnt good....
if i remember correctly, the droid could do that... you could assign a speed dial to a key on the hard keypad.. like i said, not 100% sure, but i do think i remember something like that

Will this phone have an equivalent to Blackberry Password Keeper? or is there an app that encrypts to the same level?

Just wondering as I'm ready to switch from my Curve 8330 to SUPER INCREDIBLE.

Great catch !

that's voice only, add 29.99 for data and then add 19.99 for txt.

So, I couldn't find it in the UG, but does the optical trackpad act as an LED indicator? Someone mentioned there is a light around optical trackpad?

By default it does NOT work that way. Applications can be written to do what you describe, but most don't today.
