Well, I've squeezed all the info I can out of the FCC filing. All the technical jargon has my head hurting. I guess we'll just have to wait to see what model PB31200 translates into name wise when more info is available.

Let us not forget these are the same bands used by Sprint and we have no way of knowing to which carrier this is headed. Simply, it's an HTC phone compatible with CDMA.

good point kyler13, didn't really think about Sprint in the excitement. I read somewhere that Verizon focuses mostly on the 850 band while Sprint focuses on the 1900 band, is this right? Of course they both list 850/1900 as their CDMA bands.

I just did a little bit of photoshopping and intense calculus to estimate the dimensions of the phone. Based on a 3.7" screen, I got was a height of ~4.6" and a width of ~2.25". If the screen is actually 3.5", then the height would be ~4.35" and the width ~2.1".

That is not calculus

i think i would literally cry if i saw this phone in february
If I saw this phone in Feb, with a soft touch black back, I would cry and skip whatever I had the next day, neglect family, etc. to go get it and then lock myself in a room for a week playing with sense UI and Android 2.1.

On a serious note, since it has the Snapdragon chipset, do we know once its rooted if it will be able to run Android 2.1 in all its glory?

Hahaha I know it's not calculus. It just took a little division and multiplication. And integrals, differentials, derivatives......
lol! What is that? Calculus II? Glad to see we have a genius and photoshop wizard on our hands. ;)

according to phone arena's official specs the nexus one is 4.69" tall and 2.35" wide so a 3.7" screen is still very plausible.

I have hope because i am getting this phone on vzw no matter what

Good question man. That's my biggest concern about going with a skinned Android phone. If verion 2.X adds awesome features like 2.0 and 2.1 did, I don't want to be waiting for months for VZ/HTC to send me an update. That really seems to be a big advantage to the Nexus.

Yes, VZW is particularly slow on updates. I had the Omnia I and they never released the WinMo update...NEVER. So I'm guessing, that in 8 months when the Incredible is old news, we won't receive any further updates. Although, they might change this with Android. To be honest, I really could care less if we get the updates or not. As long as it gets rooted, and it can run all of the Android version, who needs updates?

thats the same size battery as the legend could verizon already have one of these sitting around ready to go?

i don't know why vzw would want the legend and the eris. they are pretty much the same phone. maybe it's for sprint as a cheaper option to the hero?

Very good point, but, correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the only HTC phone rumored for release the Supersonic? I know that they said before the new year that they would have several HTC Android devices in 2010; but the best that I remember, the Supersonic is the only one somewhat-remotely "confirmed" as of yet.

With that being said, if this is the Supersonic, where are the Wimax bands? I only saw 850 and 1900 in the filing, and that handset is supposed to be this mythical 3G/4G unicorn, right.

Unless Sprint has the Legend headed to its showrooms, I tend to believe that this is the Incredible finally inching closer to a Verizon store near each and every one of us...hopefully :)

Keep in mind...the new specs on the Legend mark it as a GSM handset. Not headed for Sprint...so we can be all the more excited for this to possibly be the Incredible. As much as I hope I still don't think it'll be out before April.

Look at the labels sizes here.. The 54.35 is the Nexus One and this one is 64.8 in length. Could this be the incredible or something else.

CDMA, EV-DO, EV-DO Rev a at 850 and 1900 mhz are Verizons bands. Sprint is the same but C, winmax at 850 and 1900 mhz

Can someone explain the logic behind this statement? Seriously
ok well just look at the nexus one haveing 2.1 now the droid getting it and the the droid haveing 2.0 and all the older phones rumored to get that idk why its just how google is doing it
