Also can you get a 1 year or month to month contract on AT&T? Maybe thats not important but both are available on Verizon and I dont think AT&T gives you the option.
15 days til the 23rd. Something should be known by then, just wait it out 2 weeks. Or buy something and hope within 30 days you get news and can return it.

Month to month on VZW is because I have not renewed my 2 year contract since Sept.

Yes and so am I. Of course I was referring to the fact you could buy a new phone at full price from Verizon and continue on month to month billing. I believe a new subscriber would have the same option.
 
Looks like we are still limited on our info. I am really hoping for more pictures! Looks like the red accents are our final phone.

For what it's worth *which isn't much,* a VZW store employee told me that the Nexus One would be "carried" by Verizon and he guessed less then a month. I then asked him about the Incredible and he said, "Oh, it's already out," and then he walked me over to the ERIS.

Oh gotcha....looked like something else was said. I guess I should be working and not doing this being that it's all speculation anyways and is only getting me more frustrated and unsure of what to do :-)

Nothing against you, but if there is going to be a "I talked to this dude" post can it involve people named Ivan Seidenberg or Eric Schmidt please? otherwise I think its safe to assume they'll be conflicting information.

Mykpfsu, fyi, most VZW people are extremely unreliable. I highly suggest you don't listen to those. Really, they don't know nearly as much as we do. Plus, if any of you are able to talk to Eric Schmidt, would they be on this forum?

Well I would be. The problem is Schmidtey (thats we call him) hasn't been returning my calls lately. I mean honestly you shave the word "incredible" into a horses head and he totally cuts you off? I mean WTF is that? Ok, ok so the horses head was not attached to the horse at the time. And alright maybe I had left it in Schmidtey's bathtub for him to find when he first woke up. But I ask you, what did I do wrong?

Seriously, though. 15 days, just 15 frikkin' days and you'll know what to do. On March 23rd, you'll know that today I saved you from a fate worse than death - locked into an iPhone prison of your own making.

Oh I'll be several months. May is the earliest I could go to ATT. I don't really want to, to be honest. I like VZW and I want an Android handset that works for me. I really wanna be able to customize. I'll wait until I can get it. I also tend to think Stevie Jack@ss is well that, a jack@ss.

If I remember correctly, the Eris was originally called the Desire. They switched it before its release and reserved it for the more recent device that is obviously more of a "desire"

The last four letters of desire backwards spells Eris.

By extension of this logic then the new phone will be called the 'elbi' when it reaches the streets.

BTW, this is my application for Director of Research, development and Marketing for Verizon Wireless. I think I'm a shoe-in.;)

May? MAY? I have already been waiting since September (almost 6 freaking months). I just may show up at Verizon corporate and demand to get some answers. That or I am going to rape farm animals in front of their building until they tell me what's what. That will get them talking.

Oh I know, as far as an iPhone I am waiting until early summer to see if a next gen iPhone is released on VZWs network even though I doubt it. That is unless I'm blown away by the Incredible or the N1 is sold in VZW stores.

I want to be able to go 5 mins from my house to my local VZW store, hold the phone, mess around with it, and be totally convinced I will be happy with it. VZW kicks @ss in NE PA. In the 9+ years I have had a VZW phone I bet you I have had a total of like 5 dropped calls. Freakin' awesome. *hit my buddy had a non-smart ATT phone and couldn't make calls in my basement, when I'd have like 3-4 bars, wtf is that? :confused:

Personally I'm not too sure that the higher-ups at Verizon could spell "clockwork" if you spotted them the words "work" and "clock." :mad:
