Ok. I posted this in a new thread, but it doesn't seem to be getting any attention so hopefully you folks can help me out here.

So I know for certain I'll be getting the extended life battery (and the expanded back cover to go with it) and I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a decent belt holster that will fit the phone with enough space to accommodate for the larger phone size.

Any help is most appreciated :D:D:D
 
Have you seen the post, article, video, website, etc... which talk about how the EVO and Incredible features new multitouch, infinite touch recognition, lower power consumption, and proof that there is no issue? Search for it, it's on this thread a few pages back. I hope that buries this issue once and for all.

so congrats on everyone getting theirs early :luckybastards: but i ordered mine yesterday the 19th at about 4:50...just missed it :(

my question is: will i get mine tomorrow/thursday? or next week like we're supposed to? anyone else order later then 4:30 yesterday? im in CA btw...
 
I have been trying *611 all day but no luck, they said no one can order over the phone. Did you do this today. Did they just release them within the past hour?

i've tried *611 three times today and have been told that i must pre-order online all three times. the last CSR i spoke with said that they received an email/communication this morning, telling them that all incredible orders must be done via verizon.com.
 
Yes Slumpey I got done on the phone with them at 2:02pm. I got to the woman by calling then pressing 1 for changes, then change device, i think it was 5 or 6, then I told her I wanted to upgrade my phone. I asked for the "Incredible...I think it is called." She said yes I can order that for you, and she went through the whole process and asked if two day shipping was fine. I asked her if she could expedite it for tomorrow and she said I could for 14.99.

Maybe it is like what everyone is running into with the moving their NE2 date. Maybe you just have to get lucky and get a good rep.

no luck, just tried *611 again and tried to upgrade my phone. They said you cant order the HTC incredible over the phone. She tried placing the order in the system and it wouldnt let her.

Dont know how you were able to order it alittle while ago and I have been trying all day and getting the same response that you cant order it over the phone. They tried placing the order for me and it wouldnt let them. Its not even in their system, you need to pre-order online.

Did you order by phone?

My understanding is the mix up happened, because Version had a 3 party call center that's software wasn't set-up properly and was allowing the operators to actually place the order not just the pre-order...

Same here. I talked 3 different CSR. All said they could in the beginning.
Later on, they said the system wouldn't allow them to order the phone.

Now they are transferring me to internet sales dept.

I will ask them when are they really going to ship them out :rolleyes:

I talked to a CSR about upgrading and when I told her the Incredible it even got her excited! She said "let me place that order for you and put you on hold, but did you know if you order on My Verizon the rebate is instant"? Oh that doesn't matter to me!

HOLD 2-3 minutes (excitement)

"I'm sorry, it won't let me put that order in until the 29th, but it is available for pre-order on My Verizon if you sign up"

Crap!

I also sent an e-mail earlier today regarding my online pre-order, so maybe I will get good news from that......BUT, I doubt it!

yeah hats what i thought. i havent. i ordered it online. and havent gotten the shipped confirmation. hoping i was gunna get it later. but doesnt look good. lots of people have gotten theres because they ordered over the phone.. oh well countdown still continues! 9!
 
For those that have gotten the phone early, can you comment on the screen's scratch resistance capabilities?

I know it's not using the moto droid's gorilla glass, however I've seen the nexus 1 scratch tests on youtube and wanted to know if anyone has noticed any minor scratching during normal use.
 
Like I was saying, the online system kept trying to charge me an additional $29.99 on top of my Alltel Smartpack plan. I was worried that I'd lose my Alltel plan so I called customer service at (800) 256-4646. They claimed to transfer me to what they called a "Customer loyalty rep". She was the one that placed the order, kept my plan, and shipped it overnight to me.

yea it was trying to charge me the 29.99 too. i just went with it and figured i could get it sorted out once i got the phone. now i just wish i had gone with my gut and called like you, oh well :(

Now I'm wondering if mine is even going to show tomorrow. I'll let everyone know for sure. I am sorry to hear that you can't get it now. But I sure did place the order with her. She didn't say anything about not being able to.

Yeah, let us know how much abuse this baby can take.

You're probably not getting any answers because the phone is not technically out yet. How are people supposed to answer your question when nobody even knows how thick the extended battery/back is and what multitude/lack of holsters even exist??

I think everyone just needs to chill for a moment. I know we are all getting anxious (including myself) for this phone. We should be happy that we have this new pictures and videos; not upset.

We have one of the best rumor communities I have ever seen. NKT, Anon, the list goes on-and-on. People taking risks to give us pictures and info. C'mon! We should be unbelievably happy.
