Not trying to sound like an ass...on the surface, this just seems comical to me. Haven't seen any such test, but came up with this test scenario:

"Hmmm, what can I possibly have in my pocket with my phone?"

Keys-check
Coins-check
Screw (leftover from unknown project)-check
Diamond ring to propose to girlfriend-check

*places items in large Crown Royal bag...shakes vigorously for 30 seconds to simulate being in pocket all day. Pulls phone out out of bag...ho-lee shitttt!!! My brand frickin new Incredible...wasted. F*********K!!!!*

Nope, just can't see it happening :D
 
I just talk to rep in internet sales dept.
She told me their system will automatically order all the pre-orders between 26th and 27th.
She couldn't ship it for me as of now bc the system is holding for all orders.
I wasted my 10 minutes sweet talking to her... lol

Holly Crap!! That's amazing! Thank you for that! You should have stood out front all day as the Incredible unofficial spokesman. And told them you would do so everyday until they decided to sell them to the rest of us. Hell I'll even pay you just so I can watch them squirm!!!!!

meaning preorders with overnight shipping will ARRIVE to costumers on the 27th and 28th :) maybe?

agreed if i get mine even one day early i'm going straight to my extremely unhelpful local verizon store to gloat.
 
i was just chatting and the lady told me, some orders that were made online will be shipped on the 27th

EDIT, i see someone else has received the same response
 
Does anyone out there have any leads on the following for the Incredible:
- Discount on Zagg
- Reputable venue other than Verizon to buy cases
- Any comments on the cases Verizon is currently offering

I couldn't resist so, I called *611. I got through to someone to help me upgrade my phone. She was willing to place the order for me. She had never heard of the Incredible. I played a little ignorant too. I didn't want to be too excited. We went through the whole thing. My address for shipping and everything. Then she asked me if I wanted the Ozone? Ah, NO!!! Then she looked and said, "Droid...oh, here it is Droid Incredible." "YES. That's the one." Then she said, "I'm sorry but we don't have any stock on that right now. You can check on line or in a store." Boo!!! She said they can't take phone orders for phones that aren't in stock and she said she didn't know when they would be.

Just got a call back from Verizon to take a customer service survey. I gave them a good response but when it came time to record my message I said I have been a customer for a long time and that while I get good service on the phone I am always surprised that no one in the store or on the phone could help me with information regarding the Incredible. They said I may get another call back. If I get that call I very well may beg :D

Had I known I would have ordered the clear case. Now I am left with nothing.
 
Shipping charges:
When I ordered my Inc, the page gave me a choice of overnight shipping or zero-cost vanilla whatever. Talked to a CSR: "Your company's contract with us (discount, plans, etc. for employees of my biotech) always includes an overnight shipping option at that price.

But there's only overnight shipping for the Droid Incredible, so it looks like when they created the order site for the Incredible they forgot to delete that shipping option.

If you've selected the extra overnight charge, you can ask for your shipping charge to be credited back to you after you activate the phone (but not before)."

And about getting scratched in your pocket:

And I thought I was a newbie here. :rolleyes: Nobody who ordered by website will receive their phone early. It was a fortunate error to those who ordered by phone that have their phone now.;)
