So what forum are you posting all the issues you've found with the iPhone that your also considering?

I pre-order the phone on Monday morning using my bank check card (daily limit $600, the phone was $572). I have not used the card since. When I got home from work tonight, I calle Verizon Internet Sales to find out when they are going to charge my card. The csr was very nice and checked my order, telling me that they will charge my card on the 27th and ship that day. She said that all the orders will go out that day.

Maybe you need a new N router. Unless you live in a very big house, you shouldn't see that kind of droppoff. Still, 16-18 megabit is very solid.

verizon fios does not support N routers

Verizon FIOS supplied modem/router combo does not support N. However, you can place your own wireless N router in the system and disable the wireless on the FIOS router. It's how my brother has his set up in Virginia. You can Google it and find the how-to.

Regardless, G router is good enough for the speeds reported. However again, there should not be that much of a drop, as Ladera said, unless too far from the router.

I still don't think the Incredible will handle max file transfer speeds over an N home network...say transferring video, music, pics etc from phone to PC or the other way. Will be interesting to find out.

does the anti glare collect fingerprints? How transparent is it?

BoxWave screen protectors are basically invisible on your screen. I love their crystal screen protectors and use them on all my phones. I even use them on my TomTom.

Here's a few pics of the crystal one on my old HTC Touch. You can't tell a screen protector is on the phone at all.

They do a good with fingerprints and it's plenty transparent. When you put it on it doesn't seem to take away from the brightness too much at all. But when you take off, it's always surprising how much more vibrant the screen is without it. (Think that's true with ALL Anti-glare Protectors)

But I have ZERO experience with capacitive screens OR AMOLED screens so I can't tell you what they'll be like on the Incredible.

so I just came back from a verizon wireless store and they said the incredibles are due to be released tomorrow. Anyone else hear this or is hill full of sh%t

FWIW
I just got home from a VZW store and actually had a conversation with the regional manager. He admitted rumors are running rampid. He was also VERY upset when I saw a customer walk-in and pick-up an incredible.

I kinda looked at him funny and asked what this was all about since I was just told the 29th. He walked over to the rep and had a discussion and returned with a sheepish look. He said "I'm sorry, I know it is not right but when corporate sends the phone and says client will pick it up today we have no control."

Anyway, his story is it is still the 29th and he did call the internet group with me standing right next to him to see if he could get my order released early after what I had just witnessed.

Big corporations and control are never good companions.

Hi,
A while back someone posted a link to a class 6 (16 gig) micro sd card that was for sale, can someone post the link again so i can check it out.
thanks.

Does anyone know if the Desire has the same screen dimensions as the Incredible? I see lots of screen protectors and accessories for the Desire.

Can you make hands free calls by just saying a name or number with the Inc. If someone who has the phone already can test this that would be great.

thanks! Are these the crystal tho? Not the antiglare? The crystal ones collect fingerprints like crazy tho, right? The anti glare I heard are better for not collecting fingerprints

You can add my name to the growing list of pre-orderers (if that's a word). Once I found out that Verizon is going to be sending the pre-orders out before the 29th (possibly receiving them on the 27th or 28th), I couldn't resist.

I have them delivering it to my work so I won't have to take 3 days off. Now I just hope the accessories will be available soon.
