How does this site have a "full body protector" before Zagg's own website--and at a cheaper price than the Zagg screen protector?

It is not a full body protector. If you go to the link it only shows the screen protector. False advertising. Plus I wonder if Zagg will honor their warranty if it is bought from this site.

Uggggggh. I just found out my final exam is on the 29th at 2 P.M.

I so hope FedEx gets to my house by 1 P.M. so I don't have to go crazy waiting till late at night to pick it up from them.

I may be wrong but aren't the DIncs shipping Priority Overnight through FedEx? If this is the case I believe they have a "delivery by 10:30am" guarantee in most areas.

I sure hope so because I have to be at work at 1 that day

I just checked the backlog of pages I hadn't read and didnt see the answer to this. And I know more than a few people have asked about it.

Whats the deal with the 748mb of ROM that the phone shows? I dont really mind if its just 512mb but why does it show more, yet Verizon and HTC advertise only 512mb. I read somewhere that Android cant recognize more than 512mb. And I also read somewhere that the extra 236mb are from the 8gb internal memory. Obviously there is some reason, so what is it? Someone familiar with the phone and Android's workings please enlighten me! :)

The free shipping is actually guaranteed by 3pm. You have to pay extra for the 10:30am guarantee.

I just got off the phone with the Online Sales department to check on my order as well. He was very doubtful when I told him others had already received their Incredibles. I assured him they had. His comment was that all pre-orders are shipping 4/26 & 4/27. I don't know if they are playing dumb or if slips are just happening in the shipping department. But if you have yours already, you are very lucky.

When will verizon switch the droiddoes.com site to DI?

I'm not convinced that they ever will. "Droid Does" seems to be a tag line for the Motorola Droid. As we all know the Eris is a Droid model, but it was never on that site.

Even if they choose to change the site they will probably wait until the 29th because that is the official release of the phone. There has been no television advertising (even an HTC commercial) with this phone yet. I would expect to see that in a week or so though.

How can I get DVDs from my collection onto a phone? I'm not sure that I want to download them illegally from the internet.

Any ideas?

search xda for a program called mp4forhd. it doesn't work on all movies, but it is nice to have.

All above is correct, in a way.

1. Inc has a 512mb "rom" (normally stores both the OS and apps- it does for all devices until this one).

2. Inc has part of the flash allocated to apps

3. The allocation is why there is only 6.6gb showing free for internal storage, when there should be around 7.5gb free for 8gb of memory.

4. Available app storage is 748mb, since some of the flash is allocated

5. The other missing space is due to pre-installed apps.

5. 512mb "rom" is oniy used for OS storage. I still do not know why companies call the 512mb a "rom" since not accurate description.

Oh my! The phone's not even out yet and there are fixes in the works for a problem with android softwares?

This fix is not related to the Incredible it is related to all Android OS phones. No Android OS phone can save apps on the MicroSD card.

Does anybody know of a good app to use the optical trackpad to wake up the phone? I found Flyscreen, Lock 2.0, LockBot, and ICE (In Case of Emergency), but since I returned my Eris, I can't try them out. Anyone have any experience with these or know of any apps to do this?

How about a good browser? Since they have made copy/paste better in Sense, now I feel the only thing Android is lacking is a good browser. I am looking for one that always has back, forward, home, tabs, and bookmarks at the bottom (like Dolphin has after you push Menu). I love Opera Mini's UI, but it doesn't seem to display full html pages (shows the same mobile sites I get on my Dare). Is there a stupid simple solution like a checkbox for fullscreen browsing or displaying full html?

Once I can figure these things out, the Incredible will be the perfect phone for me.

i use the xilisoft ripper. you can set the resolution of the video you're ripping to to match the resolution of your phone. i currently have the entire 2nd season of "arrested development" on my omnia in WQVGA. it works great.

Correct, but that is not the issue here:

1. About 1gb of the 8gb flash was allocated for apps. Pre-installed apps take up some of the space and 748mb are free (plenty compared to other Android devices).

2. Some apps use external memory for installing data (dictionaries, Doom, some of the 3D games do as well).

3. Game emulators normally read the external memory for game roms

4. In either case (2 or 3) the apps can not correctly read or even see the built in flash.

5. The 512mb rom that normally stores the OS and all apps is only being used for the OS.

In summary, this has nothing to do with apps that install within the framework (as normal). The issue is only a few apps that were preinstalled can read it for media, but third party apps can not read it at all.

The built-in memory should be treated no differently than an external card, but was not mapped that way (probably due to the allocation of part of it to the framework).

okay so my question is this. i heard that the incredible will support verizons backup assistant? is this true? i have 350 contacts in my phone that would take forever to put all in and i dont use gmail.

Anyone know if that is a "known" or acknowledged issue, and if a fix is in the works?
