While I'm sure there are those who had that as their main objection, I think it's more accurate to say, at least among the demographics of this thread, that the primary argument was "It's not on Verizon... no thanks."

I played with a droid and was sold there... until I found out there was something better coming real soon... my only issue with the droid was the touch screen was typing on the virtual kb. But after testing the voice to text feature I was ok with it... knowing the same voice to text feature and alot more better features were included with the DI.. I was needless to say, INCREDIBLY enthusiastic about it... It wasnt even close to an issue that the EVO or the Iphone 4g were coming soon... (coz they are going to networks that suck the big one).. VZs network rarely, if ever lets me down... I will be good with the 2nd or 3rd best phone out ... on the best network.... the better phones on crap networks make them near last IMO.

simple sale for me.

In CA you have to pay sales tax on the full retail price of the phone. Approximately $530 x 9% SUCKS! and to think CA is out of money and almost bankrupt. I ordered mine with a CA billing address but it is being delivered to me in HI so I only paid $4 in sales tax ($100 x 4%).

I ordered mine at 930pm sunday PST.. WTF.. im still in waiting approval...

hope mine clears by monday... I wouldnt mind getting it early...

edit:maybe yours was 45 mins before mine.. !
 
Does anyone know where these phones will ship out of? If it's near the UPS Worldport in KY. pretty much a given that the entire eastern half of the country will get them on Tuesday.

I'm not sure about the actual phone but I ordered screen protectors and two cases (one for me and one for my wife) today. I got an email later saying they shipped out of Ontario, CA.
