For example, someone should create a pre-order thread, and fill that up with posts about that, and so on. This off topic stuff started a while ago, and just continued to what we have in here today. this thread drifts on and off topic constantly and that is expected. its also part of the reason i like this thread.
 
Just played with the phone in the store...guy didn't let me want to see it at first. Really effin nice....I want it NOW!!!!

I called pretty much every store and kiosk...none will sell it until the 29th, argggg....
 
What's up with the tv out cable looking like a 3.55 mm input on one end? The video by wirefly shows the video out coming out of the micro usb slot? The pic on the left is what looks to be the one from the video and the pdf is from the launch packet.

Everyone that is b****ing and moaning about all of the shipping/order status info - you are free to go to the main HTC Incredible page and start your own thread if you have something you want answered. Waiting on shipping is where we are with the phone right now. The lucky, select few who did get it already are presumably off enjoying it, because for the most part they haven't been back here much, so there's really not much else to discuss at this point; as Brad said, the specs, features, etc are spelled out on Evergreen.

And I find it ironic that the people who complain about the content of the posts a) really haven't contributed anything useful, and b) bother to make a post than contains nothing else aside from a complaint - hardly any more useful of a post than any of us who report our order status or the result of a conversation with CS, now is it?!

That is all. :)

This is from another forum that shall remain nameless, but is known for it's excellent technical information:

I've been doing some battery tests yesterday and today, so far the Motorola has been able to get 7hr 30min of talk time on a full charge, but the HTC was only able to get 5hr 30min of talk time on a full charge.
Two hours of talk time in a pretty big difference, considering there is only 100mAh difference between the batteries.

That Test was between the Droid and the Incredible in case it wasn't clear to you :D

C) Sorry, I'm cooped up inside with not much to do but read, watch TV, and be on the internet. I have 3 incisions in my stomach from having my ovaries drilled and endometriosis removed on Tuesday. So, yeah, you'll just have to excuse me if I don't feel much like getting outside and going for a walk.

everyone just needs to chill. If you dont care about peoples shipments (which i really honestly do not care and it does get annoying) then just read on. Its not like it requires a lot of effort to just scroll down a little more lol. This thread is labeled "htc incredible thread", therefore, entitles everything thats included with the phone. At this point, online orders and shipping are part of the phones process.
 
OK...For all those frantically checking your order status, I just spoke with a manager at VZW Internet Sales because I made two orders for the DI and needed to cancel one of them, he said that NONE OF THE ORDERS WILL SHIP UNTIL THURSDAY! We are all in the same boat, no one will be receiving their DI early, we all will get it on the 29th. So please, please stop giving us your updated order status!!

short answer, yes. Long answer...no phone is truly scratch resistant. Some reviews say its excellent, others say its horrible and will get scratched just putting it in your pocket. I am just going to test drive it for a week or so, see how i feel, and then make a decision about wether to get a protector.

Well, that's you. I prefer to go into a thread and read posts about the topic, and when I want to read complaints about orders, I'd like to go to a thread about such complaints. When I want to read other topics, I'd like to read them in a thread about that topic. But to each their own, I guess. :rolleyes:

I've used the protectors from verizon in the past. I asked the sales rep if the ones for the Incredible would cover the entire front but she wasn't sure. If they don't I'm gonna keep watching the SGP store.

I was lucky enough to play around with one at my local VZW store, but I just feel like everyones big argument against the nexus one was "i don't want to buy a phone that I can't play around with in store first. Bad sales model google!"

And then they pre-ordered it off the internet, untouched, april 19th...

I went to my local Best Buy Mobile and they had the floor model(not live) on display. Below are some pics.

The back feels nice and the build quality is solid. I also scanned some pics of the new Buyer's Guide with the Droid Incredible. I don't know if this was posted anywhere already. I was going to run these through Anon but I'm sure the guide is at other stores too, so nothing exclusive.

I then went over to my local Verizon Corporate store and showed the rep. the Best Buy Buyer's Guide and asked if I can see a live one. He said not till the 29th.

I then went over to check out the phones and the manager came over with a live Droid Incredible and said he'll let me play with it if I let him look at the Best Buy Buyer's Guide.

The phone rocks! The countoured back actually feels more subtle than it looks. It feels great. It is fast. The one thing I wanted to try out was the optical joystick. It is much better than I thought. Even when you are moving the cursor within a line of text it is accurate. Another thing I verified is that unlike the Eris, YouTube HD works fine.

I didn't have much time to play with it or take any pics or video since the rep was hovering over me the whole time. I want it now even more :)

I do not want to say you or the manager you talked to today are wrong.
However, there are members getting shippment notification scheduled to delivered as early as Monday the 26th.

All the managers/supervisors I have talked to told me samething.
NONE of the Incs are leaving their warehouses before the 27th.
Obviously it was not true.

If you don't like people posting their order statuses which I believe they are valuable peice of information, just scroll it down. It should be easier than posting your complaint.
