If that were true, it suggests a knee jerk reaction about the inability for apps to read the internal 6.6gb of flash..... I sure hope this is not there answer to fix it. I still do not think it is a lock that devs can map to it unless the OS allows it. Might need to be a Verizon update to fix it.

Not too shocking as some (maybe exaggerated, maybe underestimated) folks hate iPhone because of the company, way past or not. . . :)

I gave in and called and "Heather" said "well thats b/c you pre-ordered and the phones not out yet so it will process on the 29th... I politely asked if I could speak with someone in internet sales and she coped an attitude and said I could speak with someone in "tele-sales" I asked her why 'tele-sales'? I ordered online.... Telesales guy asked if I was calling about the Incredible and gave my the Incredible Hotline # 888 636-8037 <-- j/k the # is for Internet Sales
 
Do we know how it syncs your contacts with facebook yet?

I dont want it to put all my fb friends in my contacts list

I do want to be able to link my current contacts to there relevant profiles on facebook.

Can anyone just explain or show the contacts and how it seperates them from facebook n stuff

so not to be there bearer of bad news but the status says 2-3 business days that means it will probably ship on wed which is the third business day just like it states, and than come to you on thursday just like the pre-order says sorry I hope it comes earlier though

It says you will receive your order in 2-3 business days....means potentially ships on Monday (day 1) and you receive Tuesday or Wednesday (day 2-3)

it just syncs your fb friends with your contacts.. if you don't have a phone book entry for them it will create one, IF they have a phone number listed.

There's no one in my contact list that wasn't there before it synced. it's cool cause it automatically added last names to people and gave them contact pictures

Upon further more careful reading it does say receive in 2-3 days so much for me sorry im an idiot! lol

Yep, just checked the bank account as well, "pending transaction" from Verizon. I'm thinking it's gonna ship tomorrow, and I'll have it Tuesday!
 
Interesting Verizon story for all interested:

Went to my extremely local VZW store today. Manager lady came up to me and asked she could help me with. Now understand, this lady looked like a stay at home mom who never came out (HUGE frizzy hair, HUGE glasses, full length FLORAL pattern dress). Anyway:

Me: Do you have a demo unit of the HTC Incredible that I could see?
VZW: No. We will not have one till next month.
Me: I will have mine this thursday, therefore, you must have one here now.
VZW: Oh.....um......no.
Me: K thanks.

Left, came home. Looked up two other numbers of close VZW stores. First call:

Me: Do you have a demo unit of the HTC Incredible that I could see in your store?
VZW: Yes, but you cant see it.
Me: Im sorry, come again?
VZW: We have one, but nobody can see it till thursday.
Me: k Bye.

Last call:

Me: Do you have a demo unit of the HTC Incredible that I could see in your store?
VZW (lady): Yes we do!
Me: Awesome, could I come see it now?
VZW: Sure, how long?
Me: About 15 mins.
VZW: Sounds good.

I went to that store and it was basically a ghost town. As soon as I walked in the lady up front said "Incredible?" I said, "YEP!" (with a huge smile). She proceeded to take me all the way behind the counter and around a wall where our baby was laying on a desk.

VZW: Stay back here and dont take it anywhere and you can play with it as much as you would like.
Me: Thanks!

Needless to say, i spent 45 minutes with this immeasurable phone. Everything we have heard about it is absolutely true. LIGHTNING fast in everything I tried. The camera was INCREDIBLE. Focused amazingly and the pictures were awesome. Video as well. It was quite a bit thinner than I had expected. I literally had no problem with it the whole time (except explaining to myself why I had to wait 5 more days till i can have it :(

I did disagree with one thing that everyone has said in most reviews online. I did not by any means feel that it was "plasticky" or "cheap" feeling. I thought it was amazing feel and touch. I absolutely cannot wait for this phone. Everything I wanted was there.

If anyone has any questions about it, i checked everything out that I could think of and did not put all of that here. Let me know. Everyone should be INCREDIBLY excited for this phone, its going to be everything we'd hoped for.

maybe i haven't investigated enough, but was the screen glass like an ipod/iphone touch?

Yes.

And there is a pending transaction on the card I placed the order with.

Yes. Very similar. I own an iPod Touch and I did not see it to be any different than that. I did look for the "dots" as hard as I possibly could and I think i found one when I rotated EXACTLY where the light hit it correctly.....

Guys, the dots are nothing. I was kindof wondering why that was even a discussion while I was looking for them. There is NO WAY you will see them without looking specifically for them only.

The screen was amazing. Very similiar to the ipod/iphone, yes.
