DAMN YOU CAPITAL ONE and you're fricking overzealous fraud protection. Just got an email from capital one saying we need to verify some transactions, the first one they asked about, was of course for Verizon which they denied because of "suspicious activity" so i called verizon, and they basically said can't do anythign call our internet department, which is closed on sundays, My oreder had finally changed to processing too, now who knows what will happen....ugh.... so much for ordering it on the 19th.....
That is so WEAK!!!

It's also yet another confirmation of why I'm glad I don't do business with Capital One and their ad spewing, wallet sucking machinations. :mad:



Edit: sorry I wasn't clear about how I feel about them. Next time I'll try to be more clear about my feelings... ;)

I had the SAME exact problem! It blows hard. I did talk to internet support today and they said as long as I called Monday before 4 eastern that it would be processed and sent out Monday! I really hope the guy was correct. They also said that since I get a corporate discount I had to call the Atlanta service center to do it.

Just calling Capital one should lift it and let the transaction complete. My paypal plugin does this every time I have a transaction over 500 dollars on that credit card. This plugin card is a one time use card and it comes straight out of my checking but they still call. I like using the paypal plugin because anything I buy with a subscription can't be renewed in a year or month because it is a one time use card but gives credit card protection for me.
 
By the looks on this forum and people who have posted on Twitter, this phone is going to be huge. I do not think anyone will regret getting this phone even with a new IPhone coming out this summer.

I for one am looking forward to receiving my Incredible.

I'm going to buy ZAGG Invisibleshield for Incredible for $14.99. I know that some people have posted some codes to get either a better deal or free shipping. Anyone knows about these codes?

Also, a co-worker of mine bought some skin case for his HTC Hero at Ebay for about $2 dollars and it's really good.

The skin case I've found at Ebay costs $9.99 for Incredible. That seems to be a lot. Anyone knows for cheaper ones?

I am not too much familiar with Ebay. I've never bought anything there.

I think InvisibleShield and a skin protector should be able to protect the phone good.

Anyone agrees?

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell...... I'm not sure that I will have the phone by the 29th... A few pages back people were checking on their orders and some early pre-orders were LOST!!!! I would just like to confirm that isn't the case with my order.
I'm not wasting anyone's time. I'm not calling VZW to ask them what the forecast is tomorrow. I'm calling to confirm that my order exists and is in the system. I think I have that right as I'm a customer and they have a CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER!!!!
Yes, I've worked in customer service before and it can be annoying but it comes with the job.

B) Actually, yes, I did have something new to say. Unless I've missed it, I don't recall anyone being told by a rep what their credit limit was. Some people were wondering if their current status of "check back in a few days" had to do with billing the equipment to their account.

C) Sorry, I'm cooped up inside with not much to do but read, watch TV, and be on the internet. I have 3 incisions in my stomach from having my ovaries drilled and endometriosis removed on Tuesday. So, yeah, you'll just have to excuse me if I don't feel much like getting outside and going for a walk.

Dude, chill. Your order is exactly how it's supposed to be. Everybody's order is in the same status as yours, but now they are beginning to be processed. As soon as your order is processed, that same CSR you talked to will be able to view your order. Until then she has no access to even see if you ordered the Incredible. Relax, take a valium.:)

I'm more of a xanax kinda girl, thanks for the advice. ;)

Sorry folks, I must have stumbled into the "Incredible order confirmation / shipping thread" by mistake. I'm going to see if I can find that thread that has some actual info about the phone now....

Uh, what else is there to know about the phone now? It's released and all info is public. Just go on the Verizon site if you want to know about the phone.

The orders you saw a few pages back that were lost were from people who were as frantic and clueless as you.:o:rolleyes:
 
Everyone needs to settle down, and that means everyone. Posting and telling people what you don't want them to do will only elicit a response and then the back & forth starts until the thread get's put in timeout. As far as calling the CSRs, their job is to field calls from customers. And with the way this launch was handled they only have themselves to blame. Had they explained the pre-order process better (showing ability to upgrade after a few days because the system didn't see the ordered phone activated, etc.), they might not have had such a problem. Anytime I have had to call in since this started (for other things) I had no wait time so they are not getting overflowed with extraneous calls. So everyone, take a step back and breath.
 
I am glad I am able to see a different order status. I love the fact this is the phone that is introducing me to the Android Family but lets all just take a chill pill. If you don't get the phone on the 29th you will eventually get it. It has been a long journey and its coming to an end but the end of this journey will be a beginning of another story. This device has the capacity of changing the way we handle day to day tasks. It might sound a little cliche but seriously having such a device at the palm of our hands or at the convenience of our pockets is an extraordinary thing. These are exciting times but we all have to keep our cool :)

P.S. I might have Incredible Patience but Jeebus Rice I want the phone now too :p

Thats awesome is it a physical card or is it done online? and can you add money to your paypal account and just use the card that way so you dont have to deal with your bank at all?

just wanted to let you all know.....I was just on the new page created for shipment status updates and hit "post my reply" when my McAfee virus warning came up saying it successfully blocked a trojan virus. Thank goodness for virus protection.
