I've been trying to figure this out also over the last couple of days. There are threads all over the place regarding this. I havn't found any really good ones for under $100. The most popular on Amazon seem to be the V-MODA Vibe Duo, with 328 ratings at three stars (a little below what i would prefer), but apparently they go out a lot.

That looks nice, but it has this fake shinyness to it...thanks though

I really don't see why it bothers you so much as to say it's assanine(sic.) But hey, if calling people names makes you feel better about yourself, have at it.
If you'd ever worked in support, you'd understand why it's asinine. If you'd ever worked for or owned stock in a company that offered support (it's not free, you know), you'd understand why it's asinine. If you'd ever been taught that getting what's fair is enough, that you don't have to lie to people to try to get more, you'd understand why it's asinine.

I've come to the conclusion that those that don't understand why someone might try and put the squeeze on a company in a situation like this are one of two things.
I won't bother mentioning one, but when you move out of your parents house and start paying your own bills, perhaps you'll get it.
For myself, everything I told Verizon were empty threats, but they don't know that. Really, not much trouble to call, and even less to email, so I really don't see why it bothers you so much as to say it's assanine(sic.) But hey, if calling people names makes you feel better about yourself, have at it. Maybe when you get a job and move out, you'll have enough going on in your life that such trivial things won't bother you so much. Good luck.

I get your side of this point, but if I could force you to go back and read the past 500 pages, you would then understand why your post about harassing Verizon Wireless was referred to as assinine.

If you have friends and family, add your google voice number to that. Then you won't be charged for picking up your voicemails.

You don't need to call your GV number to listen to voicemail.

All you do is start the GV app right on the phone and either read the voice to text transcription (if enabled on the GV website) or listen to the voicemail on the phone. It's all data.

Don't know if it was covered here or not, but I was able to pre-order on the My Business Verizon web site.

I was not able to do it yesterday.

Here are 2 questions about ordering the Incredible.

1) The account is in another person's name and they also get/pay the bill. However, I'm upgrading the phone(since I am the only one who uses it) and I wanted to also pay for it myself without changing where the general billing goes to. Now it says billing address/shipping address well and fine but if I put my information in for both, will it change the billing address permanently or just on an order by order basis?

2) Also while processing the order, I noticed at the end it says "monthly rate 29.99" signifying the new data plan I would be adding to the phone but it doesnt make mention of my current 49.99 package. Is it normal to only show the rate being added to the billing as opposed to the entire total monthly rate when doing these orders?

Just trying to reduce any complications.

I have worked in support/technical, and not over the phone, in person mind you. And almost every customer I have ever had has tried to get free stuff outta me. Trust me, when someone is handling something on the phone, it's a helluva lot easier than dealing with someone in person. Do I sit there and piss and moan about it to everyone I know? No. I expect the customer to do that, just like they expect to get quality service and support from me. If I don't know the answer to their question, I tell them as much and add that I will look into it & get back to them as soon as possible. I don't make up something off the top of my head and pass it off as the truth. My biggest complaint with Verizon CSRs is that I can call in with the same question 5 times and get 2-3 different answers. Verizon needs to get their people on the same page, not just on the Incredible, but in general.
The other thing I don't get is why people get so bent outta shape about people calling into Verizon. Unless you are the one answering the phone, what does it matter if someone calls in? I called in today to find out about the fedex signature and microsd card. I experienced no wait time to talk to someone so they're not getting overloaded with calls. If they are getting sick of hearing about the Incredible, tough. They chose that job, if they don't like it there are other jobs. I got plenty of stuff that irritates me about mine, but it pays the bills so I deal with it. I have been doing this for a little over thirteen years and most of the people I went to school with have had 2 to 3 jobs in the time I have been there, I guess I can deal with a lot more bs than most.
CSRs are there to deal with customers, period. Customers can be annoying to the point where you want to put your head thru a wall but they are also the ones who pay my salary. So I deal with it.

1 - It won't permanently change the billing address or any other information.
2 - Yeah, that's normal. I'm switching from BIS, so it was only showing the revised data plan.

I will miss this thread when it is gone. I will miss coming on here first thing in the morning, while at work, after work and just before bed. But, I think having the Incredible in hand will make me feel better. :D

2 and a half million views, almost a thousand pages... this thread will not die, it can only be killed. And who would want to stop the beating heart of Dinc Nation? :p

Definitely will post pics - - I GOT MY SHIPPING EMAIL TODAY! does that mean tuesday? or tomorrow? I DID Pay for overnight shipping by 1030...that would FREAKIN. ROCK.

I have seen this problem complained about a lot in these forums. I'm just curious why the admins don't just modify it so that the images can only fit inside the post box and if need be, have scrollbars right there for each image? This way it doesn't break the layout of the site if someone does that by accident. I have seen that setup on other vBulletin installations.

I dont see why people cant just download FireFox and use it when theyre on the thread... Has a little function called zoom..

if you guys ordered a case over the phone with the FREEOVRNT code or whatever, did you get it the next day? i'm ordering the red/black snap on tomorrow after school and wanted to know if i'd get it on tuesday? i saw it in person today at my verizon store and OH GOD. loved it. the phone was "charging" and the guy didn't go back to get it. oh well. i kinda DIDN'T wanna play with it... i think it'll be more of an experience if i get it all to myself and not have a time limit on it. :)

Uggh, I ordered sunday night as well Order # 327378xxx ...still waiting for tracking #...

Sadly, I think the rollouts are regional - - my buddy didn't order til monda - - and got his shipping req today, we're both in SoCal - - and one major shipping center is Ontario, cA...

Best of luck!!
