I know stores will have varying amounts of Inc in stock, but are stores supplied their actual amount based on market size? Since I am in the Los Angeles market, would there be more units on hand at stores in the L.A. area than say Middleofnowhere, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, or Wyoming, USA (no offense...)?

I only ask because resident sleuths know that their store will have "x" amount in store and earlier the guy at a Brentwood, CA store found that they will have 30 (that sounds like a lot). I'm one of those that didn't want to deal with online preordering and waiting for an inopportune Fed-Ex truck, and will buy at a store in person that day first thing in the AM...

I think all Micro-USB chargers are universal, but I'm pretty sure the Touch had a mini-USB not micro-USB...

Ouch!

If I were Google, I would give up too. The N1 is an epic FAIL. From the MultiTouch bug which is unforgivable, to the name which cannot be trade-marked... Seems like the project was poorly managed..

I'm wondering if this was always the plan, or if it was something decided upon just recently.

I guess we'll see - Sprint announced that they're getting the N1 sometime soon. If they do, I think it means that VZW decided to not cooperate with Google (didn't want to lose sales to the N1). If they don't, that means that Google axed the CDMA N1.
 
Has anyone thought maybe vzw isnt geting the N1 and isnt advertising the DI because it could be part of a deal with apple for the the Iphone.
 
I mentioned on Sat. that VZW credit dept. sent me an email 'requesting' more info... I had to wait until this morning to call and I've been all 'worked up about' it. I just called and they needed me to answer the silliest question ever. :D:D:D
I asked her if I would be getting free overnight shipping b/c I ordered before 4:30pm on 4/19 but didn't get prompted to enter the code. She verified that my order was received at 1:06 and she changed it!!! So instead of Wednesday I'll receive my INCREDIBLE TOMORROW!!!!!! :D *does happy dance*:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm off to go meet someone who's interested in buying my BB Storm!!!!!! Next item to be sold is my ERIS!!!!

For a split second. But I highly doubt that's the case. Verizon pulls the strings in all their relationships. Lol.

It will be interesting to see who catches and who pitches in the Apple/VZW relationship since both want complete control of their respective products.

this is all very frustrating; I cehcked my order status yesterday -- it said order had been processed and I would receive the Inc in 2-3 business days -- Wednedday at the latest I figured; no tracking number yet though. Then I got two separate emails from VZW customer service; one said the order would ship on the 29th and the other saying it would ship the 28th. Are there different databases the VZW representatives are looking at that would explain the various answers I am getting?

Im going to guess Verizon. We all know they have their foot firmly in place about the "network" over phones, and if you want to be a part of that network, you're going to have to play by their rules, at least to a degree.

My guess is either because it's not out yet, or they're relying on the "Droid" name to carry it for the most part, and leave the rest up to signage, and the employees to push it on buyers.

So, I'm thinking that shipping is regional after all, since many of you have tracking numbers already. I made my pre-order at 10:30 pm CST on April 18th and have yet to receive an update from Verizon via email (aside from the order confirmation email). When I check my order status on their site, it just says "Your order has been processed. Please check back later." I just called VZW to see what was going on and the rep I spoke with said it hadn't been shipped and they won't even get a tracking order for it until the 29th. I told her that Verizon's own site says that if you order before 4 pm on the 28th, it will arrive on the 29th and she acted like it was news to her. :rolleyes: Sheesh.

Ha, I must have just talked to the same lady. She was giving me attitude telling me that she knows "for a FACT" that it won't be shipped till the 29th. I know "for a FACT" (thanks to this community) that people already have their tracking numbers. I just wanted to find out what is going on with my order. I don't mind getting it on the 29th, but I just want it confirmed.

I'm tired of Verizon people not knowing anything!!!

Got an e-mail that said mine has now shipped from Ontario, Ca and should receive my phone on Wednesday. I wish I could just drive 20 minutes to Ontario and pick it up.

i just thought i would show people how gay this thread has become.

you will get your fu%&ing phone on the 29th. this is ridiculous. some people dont have enough to do in their life.
