I'm more than pissed! In fact, I'm pretty sure there has to be not one but SEVERAL stupid or vindictive a holes involved. If you EVER just looked at forums such as this one here you would realize there are a bunch of people who really care about Verizon getting an iPhone killer styled phone. My poor wife...and myself have been holding on to our Katana's on Sprint for over a year now just waiting for the iPhone...or now more recently a similar profile android device to come to Verizon so we can make the switch. Stupidity or dedication...whatever you want to call it. The internet rumors are deafening when it comes to the Passion/Dragon/Incredible/Nexus One and now Desire! Who really wants this phone more than anyone else? Gee...let's take a wild guess. Verizon and Sprint users!!! So let's see....why doesn't Google come along and f things up with their sales model? Let's release it for T Mobile first...and we'll only sell it through the internet....and yeah...while were at it let's make sure it's expensive to upgrade and not financially supportive towards family plans. Let's piss a lot of people off and give slow support. ANd....and this is purely personal...let's give it a crappy name like Nexus One...and put fugly running colors on it so that when you fire it up it looks like Tron. Oh and then the're Verizon...wow...their first big 2.1 phone was the Droid. Really? Kind of cool...but heavy, boxy and with a keyboard that is middling at best. So now, the Bravo is rumored....it's beautiful...but only being released in europe...but hope springs eternal...hey guys maybe it will come here. Then there's the Nexus One....hey guys...maybe it will come to Verizon...maybe be sold in stores...maybe support the family plans...maybe be more like the Bravo. But then reality sets in...you get the Desire released everywhere else but here and you can wait for the ugly Incredible or pay the high Nexus One prices. Ultimately I vote with my pocketbook...even if it is to spite my own situation. I won't switch to AT&T for the iPhone because I personally was wronged by AT&T many years ago. I won't switch to Verizon until they have a phone I want. I MIGHT buy the Nexus One...not sure yet. I may just stay with the phone I have until someone finally listens to the consumers. Yeah...Im pissed. It's really simple....very very simple...HTC/Verizon/Google needs to listen to the consumers here in the US. It's starting to look conspiratorial. Someone needs to be fired. Okay...that's it for now. I need to go break something!
Maybe you should break your Verizon phone and sign on with a better carrier? You DO have a choice...

I think you should call. Go to AT&T and complain about the crappy network and lack of 3G coverage, but hey, you'll have an iPhone!
We are hosed until late march to hear anything. Verizons announcement of Skype included 9 phones at launch. They gave all 9 phones that it will be launching on. F(*$ me
Im literally in shock... All those phone companies and not one release planned for VZW... I just dont understand why the cell service with the best coverage would completely drop the ball on obtaining great smartphones..

Well it was a Europe based conference after all. But then they should take the word "World" out of it....I guess.
I guess it's more waiting for the CTIA, damn.
Were any carriers announced at MWC? Surely some carriers announced after the fact about the Desire or what not, but I dont recall carrier specific announcement.
