ya i have the dare and i want the incredible trust me im not a scammer that would be stupid im in my hotel room right now as i have no other way to be on the internet without my labtop

Hi all...just visiting from the eris side. I have an upgrade avail and was contemplating the incredible and handing my eris down to the wife. Coup of ?'s for anyone willing to answer.

*Any validity to the 23rd release date?
*Upgrade price. Heard $100-$250. Any real numbers out yet?
*Is it coming with sense or no? This is a turnoff to me coming from eris and the delay with updates due to sense integration.
*Whats battery life compared to eris/nexus. I assume AMOLED screen will use less batt.
*Whats the prognosis on root?

techfreak, if you're staying in a hotel, then you must be from out of town, right. Mind if I ask what occupation you're in that would bring you to CTIA? You must be pretty high up to snag an expensed flight to Vegas!
 
I've sent him (techfreak111) a PM with adequate "intro" to this thread and expectations.

Time will tell if this is just another a$$clown or a legitimate new friend of androidforums...until then the benefit of the doubt is fully extended as is an open hand of friendship and welcome...

that quickly turns into a fist and a kick in the teeth on this thread so tread lightly...

1.) No, as of now it's just the Nexus One that's had that date for a while.
2.)Pretty sure it will be $199.99
3.)It's a HTC device just like the Eris, It's coming with Sense.
4.)Well it has the same rated battery as the Eris but your right it has a AMOLED screen so it may end up lasting longer and will probably be comparable to the Nexus One.
5.) No one has the phone yet so it's too soon to tell.
 
I work as an electrical engineer for a small company in kansas city, I like going to try and hear information about new tech coming out, with that being said i am in no way connected with the media so i will not be able to get hands on with anything coming out soon I will try to dig up the rumors and official announcements as soon as i hear them thank you and sorry if i got anyones hopes up i will try my best!

*No validity whatsoever on the date. I'm not expecting it to release tomorrow, and highly doubt it will. Hopefully the 27th date is true.
*Also no official numbers regarding price as the phone hasn't even been officially announced yet
*It is coming with sense, but you will be able to turn Sense off and use the regular Android UI. This wouldn't get you updates any quicker though.
*Battery life isn't known. It has a smaller batter (1300 mh compared to 1400 for the n1), and 1 report by Scerison (i butchered the name probably so I apologize) said the battery life wasn't very good, but whether that was bc of lack of charge, or the phone wasn't downclocked and the released one might be is unknown to me.
*No idea about rooting, as I've never done it before

Two things, very quickly.

Fist, those of you with GoogleWave and GoogleVoice invites still available... I'd appreciate both or either. You can PM me and I can PM you with appropriate information.

Second, I've been poking around Twitter in between reading the 8 pages that exploded since I went to bed around 2 AM. Following and unfollowing people. I got a good laugh out of a few of them, haven't actually found anything substantial or worth posting here. Could I ask that before we actually put a Twitter link on here that we attempt to find validity. The quick pic was an obvious joke and some of the other stuff is from trolls/people who just need attention. If there is anything real you can bet that someone will be there to jump on it, but raising hopes and dashing them just seems wrong.

I also want to use my limited web space to thank Anonimac for doing such a great job on this thread and everyone else for participating. I am almost going to miss you guys when this phone comes out. =(
