Heck, we've waited this long for the damn phone, what's a little longer for updates?!?!It will slow it down in effect because HTC will skip some updates. For example there is no Android 2.0 with Sense, they skipped to 2.1. But you should get the important ones.
Is T-Mobile that purple/pinkish spec? sheesh i didn't even see it at first

I'm sure there are a lot of people that would rather have a 4.3" phone (myself included), but that doesn't seem to be in the cards for Verizon and HTC yet. Though Motorola is whispering about the Shadow in June/July which should have 4.3... if you believe the rumors. So I know the consensus is that it is indeed the Incredible that is coming to Verizon. But why were people hoping for that over the Supersonic? Is it just for the Sense UI and trackpad? If specs are the same I think I'd take the Supersonic with the 4.3" screen over a 3.7" screen any day. And for those that are curious about the difference in sizes and weights here are the overall dimension of the Nexus one (3.7") and HTC HD2 (4.3"):
Nexus One:
4.69 x 2.35 x 0.45 inches (119 x 59.8 x 11.5 mm)
4.59 oz (130 g)
HD2:
4.76 x 2.64 x 0.43 inches (121 x 67 x 11 mm)
5.54 oz (157 g)
They only real difference is the .3" in width and 1oz in weight.

Also a 4.3" screen is most likely a LCD whereas 3.7" will be AMOLED. I'd also prefer usability in sunlight over "popping colors" and wider viewing angles. Am I alone here?
I know that some of the other carriers have allowed for pre-ordering - especially for a hyped up phone. Has Verizon ever done this? Reason I am asking is if they do, is there a possibility we might get more info on the Incredible a few weeks before it is actually released?
It also may give incentive for people like myself that are deciding between the N1 and the Incredible to hold off - even if the two phones aren't released simultaneously.
I think as it stands right now, 3.7" is the largest available as an AMOLED screen for a phone. The 4.3" screen on the HD2 is TFT I believe. I choose AMOLED anyday.

because its going to be 4G Wimax, its likely coming in May/JuneI would take a Supersonic on Verizon today if it was available, but it appears that its release will be much later than the Incredible.

Sounds familiar, as that is pretty much what we have been doing for the past few months.I did a google search for "supersonis specs" and looked at the first 10 or so listings. looks like sites are split about 50/50 on whether the supersonic will have amoled. half say amoled screen, the other half specifically state it is non amoled screen. the fact is, no one really knows for sure until the official specs are released. anything beyond that is pure speculation.
I heard the 4.3 inch on the HTC Supersonic is AMOLED though.....
