vzwoffers on twitter keeps responding to requests for info on the N1 and the Incredible with things like 'good stuff coming soon' I just wish I knew what soon meant. But at least it gives some hope that we will get at least one of these phones sometime.

"Soon" means "I have no flippin' idea what I am talking about and just keep throwing out empty lines to keep hungry consumers sated until such time as the phone has been released. After that point, I will probably start sending out my first tweets about it after the phone has already been out long enough to run a sale on it."

hey guys.... this is not really new news as i posted this in late feb or early march - but i just spoke to my friend at VZ (corp) again and she said the same thing again, except this time she gave a guarantee.
She said htc rep is coming in the next two weeks and she guaranteed me the incredible is out in April somtime. Unfortunately no concrete date, but she told me a month ago that the htc rep said to her, it was supposed to come out in march but pushed to april. based on how different and sure she sounded, makes me think she's heard something new since then. also - she said A LOT of people are inquiring about it. I almost said, "yeah i'm on the same forum as all of them."

Curious...when the phone actually does release and we are all gently stroking the glossy smoothness of her capacitive touchscreen, is this thread planned to remain open or will this one be locked with a new post-release thread being opened? Seems like after the phone drops there could potentially be a large influx of new members who have bought or are thinking about buying the device. As much of this thread's content is old news/specs/conjecture/etc, mightn't it be better to have a new thread for clarity sake? New members may not feel like wading through 17403 posts and counting just to figure out how to push their 8 Mp photos to their digital picture frame via bluetooth.

My best guess says store training starts for all VZW employees April 1 and we get some very nice leaks shortly after with an official announcement early April. Release date of Mid-April. Let's hope....
Thanks for the info. I remember one of your posts earlier this month said that the HTC rep told her that it would be pushed back until April. Sounds like April it is.

Nothing new on the Incredible front, but I found this twitter post which helps confirm the Moto Shadow is Verizon Bound. The Twitter account logs android device info and posts them to a twitter account. That's all I know about it.

i bought the omnia 2 and my friend bought the droid.. the omnia 2 honeslty sucks!!.. it lags all the time..and its 800mhz cpu is really not fast at all compared to the droid... its just a pain to deal with..the only thing better about the phone then the droid is the camera, amolded screen and swipe because it was brand new at the time and it was really fun but they have swipe aps now, so almost any phone can have it..but yea i highly recommend u DONT buy this phone..I ENDED up taking mines back and going back to my old dare........HURRY UP INCREDIBLE

So in regards to buying phones off of Amazon, how can they offer the phones so cheap? For example, I have a upgrade available for my line, and if I bought an Eris on Amazon to upgrade, it says it'd only be a penny?

I bet. It seems like everyone needs a new phone. Heck, my current phone can't even access the internet. I had the Omnia I before and I don't ever plan to buy something from Samsung again. You can have the best hardware in the world, but it is nothing without optimized software.
GO HTC SENSE! That thing is so optimized, I can't wait to play with it with a 1GHz processor vs the 528MHz.

the shadow is coming late summer/early fall
the droid 2 is coming in the fall (first lte device for verizon)..the early 2011 date for the first lte handset is not true...it will be the droid 2 and it will be towards the end of this year.

If this is indeed what happened, it is GREAT reason for hope. It is rare for a salesman to say - "Oh, you don't want to buy such and such today, wait 'till later"

MM was in the kitchen and reported a box with a sticker that read "Do not EAT until further notice" . Now we're not saying that they are donuts in the box or not, but it seems likely since it's a Saturday and all the donuts would of long been gone had that sticker not been on it. Unfortunately he was unable to get a picture of the box or the honey glazed.

So last night I found out that a friend of mine has been working in the call center for about a year now. Haven't seen her in a long time obviously. So I probed her for some information, starting off acting dumb - asking if there were any new phones coming out soon. Immediately she says we just got the Devour. And again, I ask if any new phones are coming out besides that one. She said they have nothing new coming up, and adds on I know nothing of the N1 or iPhone. I told her I wanted neither, that I wanted the HTC Incredible, adr6300. She said she had never heard of it, but thinks someone who called in asked about it.
Finally she told me that in the call center they only hear about a new phone at most 1 month from release. I asked her to inform me of any news she hears, and will keep everyone posted as well.

I don't think it's the processor, which should be MUCH better than the droid's (especially considering their 1Ghz is much faster graphics wise than the snapdragon). Windows mobile is the problem with it.

Since this is gonna be a slow weekend, I've had some time to think. I believe someone posted many pages back regarding the turnaround time for Seidio to make a case for a device once it hits the market...something around 2 weeks or so.
I believe I'll just wait till they put one out. That will allow me to get my device protected from the second I get it along with getting a later batch of the phone.

I believe my wife said my Upgrade is on April 14. Which means I have no choice to wait.

That sounds like really good news, as something similar happened to me not long before the release of the BB Storm2. On Sept 13, I was about to cave in and get the Storm1 and then trade it later for the Storm2, but the sales guy told me to wait because I would be *just* over my 30 days when the Storm2 released. I think at the time the rumored release date was Oct 12th. The Storm2 ended up coming out on Oct 28th, and when I went to go buy it the next weekend, I stopped to check out the new Android phones... and I've been waiting for the Incredible ever since
Maybe a lot of people had been following the thread from work. Now that they are on their own time, they are off doing other things. Either that, or they are off spying on HTC and Verizon Employees for clues
