Hahaha, i posted like 3 essays comparing the two phones.
Im gonna go with whichever phone comes out first now. I have grown a hatred for waiting now and getting no announcements or confirmed news makes everything worse.
-8MP vs 5MP, doesn't really matter, cameras on the phones still aren't as good as having a separate digital camera. They are getting close though i will give them that. Especially if you have a decent digital camera, you might as well use what you paid good money for.
-Dual-mic, matters even less. Im pretty sure none of us have paid attention to this in the past years anyway. Calls will still sound fine, unless your packed with a thousand people all on top of each other.
- Vanilla 2.1 vs sense on top of 2.1. This one goes either way, i honestly havn't seen anything amazing on sense 2.1 over stock. You get 7 homepages, minor GUI tweaks and thats about it. Like 1 live wallpaper exclusive to sense. It's honestly really similar to stock 2.1. Especially with live wallpapers, they both look virtually the same. Also, the Nexus One will get updates fasters, its vanilla, and its google's phone. It's going to be the first to get updates. Phones with overlays like Sense will take longer to tweak and make compatible etc...Sense UI made a lot more of a deciding factor in android builds before 2.1 like 1.6 etc...I would have waited for only Sense UI back in the 1.6 build days, but now there is 2.1 and they look pretty much the same with live wallpapers.
-Nexus One sold through google only? This one is personal opinion. Im starting a new contract with VZW so it doesn't really affect me. May be different for most of you guys.
I havent been following the N1 for a while, but a quick search i did on google showed that even the att N1's are getting the cracked screens. Are you willing to dish out $250 everytime your screen cracks, cuz it seems like HTC and GOOGLE are being a hassle to accept those under warranty
