***Official HTC Incredible Thread***

I guess I'm not too sure how far the Desire name was carried out because I wasn't foaming at the mouth for an Android phone at that particular time......If you have any questions about the Incredible release, just look me up. I know every twist and turn that this phone release has taken.

Same boat perhaps but not necessarily a good decision. Also, we never saw pre-production EVO units with the "Supersonic" name on them like we've seen with the Incredible and Sprint never referenced "Supersonic" like VZW reps and twitter accounts have mentioned the Incredible. So I think it's not the same scenario.

I was one of the followers and it was the desire right up till the last week.
If I remember right.

So I was looking at Evergreen's spec sheet and it now says that the processor WON'T be underclocked? When did we find this out? I've been trying to keep up to date here the best I could I can't believe I missed it. Any confirmations on that?

@Anonimac, @NKT, or anyone that can confirm...

Maybe I have been reading the Evergreen cpu spec wrong. I thought the only thing confirmed was that it has the 1Ghz snapdragon, not whether or not it will be released under-clocked.

Just to clarify, do we KNOW if it will run @ 1Ghz or will be under-clocked?

Untrue, All leaks of the SuperSonic said it on the back of the device, as the Supersonic. NO one knew it was going to be called the Evo until it was announced.

I think the Evo, Desire, even Droid names surprised everyone waiting for the release, so I don't think the Incredible name is set in stone by any means.
 
I realize this is much to ask, but I've been gone for the whole weekend, and I haven't heard any news... so.. If someone can sum up what has happened the past 3 days. I would love everyone so much. PLEASE! D:

A tester saw that the CPU was running at 998mhz at load.....so yea 1ghz.
 
As far as the nexus and the incredible being the same phone, I will repeat what I have said 2x already in this massive thread...the nexus one will NEVER have sense ui installed on it from the factory (this goes against everything google believes and is exactly what they are trying to stop with the N1 (fragmentation of the os)) so unless the incredible was released without sense ui it will not be the nexus 1.

and of course there are the 2 fcc filings as well

1) Incredible showed up on the system of a third party company that poroviders use to sync data on phones. Theoretically proof that the phone is more imminent

2) someone posted the picture of a calendar in a VZ Store that indicated the release date of a new android phone on 4/28. Ther was some question as to it's veracity, but the poster claimed it to be genuine.

3) Various anecdotal evidence from VZ CSR's.

I think that does it.
