My bet here is that these Equipment Guides are built using a combo of existing fields (check boxes) and free form fields for info that hasn't been used for previous phones...i'd guess someone just checked all available microSD related boxes, that's all.

Correct. It is done this way so we can search for phones with specific features.

Cause you know there is a rep out there that will search for phones that take an 8gb card and go "No, the Incredible doesn't support that........ it takes a 16gb though." haha

I was looking thro the guide and it looks like the gallery isnt the 3D one like the nexus one...anyone else notice that?

There is nothing unique about Nexus 1 gallery...it is simply the Android 2.1 Gallery...that's not considered a "feature" it's just there on the right version of the OS.

question....in the UG it refers to the phone as "HTC Incredible"....but didnt we decide that the name would change as they never keep the same name (aka Supersonic and EVO)? Does this seem to be an unofficial UG that will change? Or is it fake?

Of course, anything over 4GB is an SDHC (although I do believe they made some 4GBs that were non-SDHC, but 99% of them were)

You lie!!! The support tab has some stuff in it but nothing interesting all all, general Android app stuff, the programming menus you guys saw on testman, things of that nature.

Since it runs 2.1, there should be a version for it. I don't see why it couldn't download it out of the box.

the guide also shows google maps with those gay @$$ magnifying glass to zoom in or out... i highly doubt that it wont have pinch to zoom. Sorry guys, im totally devouring (not to be confused with moto devour) this user guide

Please stay away from the word "gay"...it's in the official Forum rules.

On topic, even my multitouch maps on Droid still have the "homosexual" zoom icons...pinch is there, but so is the standard button zoom.

I'm really excited for this phone to be coming out....the only thing that worries me is the touchscreen. I have a BlackBerry for the past 3 years. Can someone give me their opinion on using touchscreen. Does it get eaiser? Do you think it will be easier with the Incredible?

If anyone has Google Voice and is just totally turned off by the transcriptions, help Google out. On the bottom right corner of each message, there is a little "Transcription Useful", if you click no, they will ask if you want to give it to google for them to improve the transcriptions. I do it with most my messages and hope that it makes for a better Google Voice.

You can and should do this for your google voice calls as well.

Sorry guys I'm gonna hafta call BS on the testman unlimited plans... if you hover over the graphics, you get a dialogue box that displays the correct current pricing.. would never happen anyway.. I mean come on, unlimited minutes for the same price as 450 minutes right now...?

Sorry, not to deflate anyone but we do need to remember that this is first and foremost a TEST site.. those graphics are probably left over from January when they re-did the price plans..

If it is a good touch screen then you should have no problem using it. I've had plenty of touch screen devices, it all depends on the OS and the hardware. If they are not buggy, you will have no problem getting used to it quickly.

Touchscreen on new non-blackberry seems so much better from old blackberry phones. SO MUCH BETTER

according to that equipement guide it supports WiFi: 802.11 b/g/n
The nexus one nor the Desire supports 802.11n.

hope that's not a typo....

the wifi.org cert for it that is online showed it as b/g only.. not sure what is right..

First post after following for a couple weeks. Can't wait for this phone and with all the recent news (most broken here - quite impressively!), I decided to ask about the Incredible at the local Verizon store. I didn't expect them to tell me much, but thought since so much info is 'out there' now they might at least confirm that its coming...

Went to the first store in Del Mar (San Diego) and the clerk says she doesn't know anything about the Incredible. The manager overhears the conversation and says its just a rumor and the Incredible will never be coming to Verizon. He says its GSM phone and he thinks "T-Mobile will pick it up". He look like kind of a doosh and said this as he was walking out so I didn't press him or the clerks on it (who were totally clueless).

So I headed over to another Verizon store a mile away and the young kid says he's heard about it (in general) but nothing from Verizon. He said it would probably be at least 2 months since they haven't gotten any info.

I don't believe either of them really knows much, but why lie? I assume that they just want to sell a phone today and don't want people to wait another month. I bet their sales have PLUMMETED in the few weeks since so many people are waiting for the really good phones to come out...

Its one thing for the stores to say the have no information, but I just didn't expect them to lie!
