If you do a store locator search on Best Buy Mobile they are different and separate locations from regular Best Buys, but I just called my local store and they said that most Best Buys have a Best Buy Mobile in their store. I assume it just means the Phone Center. So from what he said, if you were to buy your phones from Best Buy, you would be buying it from Best Buy Mobile.

I called a regular Best Buy and was told (as others have mentioned) that you can pre-order the Incredible on Sunday. It's a down payment and guarantees that they will have a phone for you on it's release. I think this is what I am going to do. I like the idea of going to pick it up, have them transfer my contacts and buy some accessories.

Also, Best Buy Mobile has a phone recycle program as does the regular Best Buy I called. Verizon may have something like this as well, but I'm not sure.
A new life for your old phone: The Best Buy Mobile phone recycling program | Best Buy Mobile: everything mobile - every point of view

It sounds like they may take your device and pay you for it, or put that money towards your new phone. It's environmentally friendly and it provides me an alternative from chucking this Storm off of a bridge.

I wonder...

Will VZW add any of their (unneeded) apps or disable/lockdown any of the functionality of the phone? Because they've been known to do that...

But you'd still be on the Verizon network? I don't understand how that works. Why does Verizon allow you to purchase phones at BB, but then not service them? How is Best Buy's post-purchase service?

I think they've seen the light regarding that issue. I don't have a Droid but I know people who do and it doesn't seem like it's been hindered by Verizon.

AT&T, on the other hand, is restricting their Android phones (probably at the Apple altar).

Scary! Sorry to hear that! My lung has collapsed 3 times...finally had surgery. Not sure if it's the same, but feel free to PM me if you want to talk. Take care!

Wow, that sounds awful! I probably will PM you. I have to admit to being a little scared...

Well, sounds pretty serious, but hope for the best! your new phone will make up for all the hospital time? right lol

Yeah, relatively. :/ They're concerned (obviously) that I won't be able to get enough air. And it normally happens to people like 40+ years my senior. So, I'm feeling much older than my age...LOL.

Yeah, I have to admit, I REALLY hope to have the Incredible in hand before any major stent placements or after that, surgery. It will make recovery a little easier. :)

(Have to say it was a total PITA to follow this forum on my old Voyager in the hospital last week...lol!)

rushmore, are you enjoying your fat plate of crow?

ok, to answer my own question, i called a best buy mobile store and they said that you can stack the instant rebate and the ne2, but that sometimes verizon doesn't allow ne2 to be used on brand new phones? idk about that, never had a problem with it.. either way, he said that if the price from verizon is 299 with 100 rebate, they will sell it for 199 and add your ne2 discount on top of that, meaning you walk out of the door with the phone for 99+tax(taxed on full phone retail purchase price).. prolly around 150 give or take(using my crappy in the head quick math).. sounds good for me, now just to clarify if you can use ne2 on the incredible at release time....

I'm 22 and on an internship right now away from home...

I'm staying with a 60 yr. old woman who just took me out to eat celebrating that she had no taxes to pay today. I told her I was celebrating The Incredible and had a few RJ Rocker "Bell Ringers". What a glorious taste of hoppiness to finish off the day

Thanks Sonic, but I though there was an official user manual of 206 pages? This looks like the fluff that they feed the salespeople.

Anyone have a link to the manual that is working?

Thanks in advance.

i dont see why not. their just going to sign you up for another 2 years. and if they didnt give u the ne2 then at the ende of this 2 years you would have a 2x NE2:p

Thank you Verizon!

I asked the thread earlier if my NE2, which kicks in on the 29th, would be available on the 19th for the preorder since I would actually get the phone until the 29th. Well, I asked Verizon through their website the same question and they said that it would NOT work that way. However, they also said they moved my NE2 up to the 19th so that I could preorder my Incredible!
I am on the phone asking the same question right now

I downloaded mine, but I just used the phandroid.com link of the front page. it said something like"you can check it out for yourself HERE" and HERE was the link to the download
