Guessing by the interface this site has I'm pretty sure this thread has single handily brought down the site, It can't handle a thread this size, might be time to upgrade your forum software

I called my local store as well, and they said they are doing the pre-sale. This is a regular Best Buy store, and I talked to a guy in the mobile area that seemed pretty knowledgeable. He said the following:

The phone area in a regular Best Buy does all the same stuff as a Best Buy Mobile store. The only difference is Best Buy Mobile is a standalone mobile-only place. The phone area in regular Best Buy is basically a store within a store.

They will be doing the pre-sale on the 18th. He actually volunteered this information before I could ask.

I can use upgrade on different line to put INC on my line (alternate upgrade). I can also use the NE2 discount from the other line.

Doing the alternate upgrade and using my NE2 will not cause any problems with doing the pre-order.

I think If I call them on Sunday....all the sudden they will have it, I have been given wrong info by my local Best Buys more times than I can remember.

None. Complaining about crippled wi-fi and Verizon bloatware these days is simply troll speak. They changed their policies in the Fall last year and the grace period for tolerating the same broken record claims is long over. Making statements like this singles you out as a competing network fanboy or Apple groupie, neither of which are worth dignifying.

Yes, my SOURCE was dead on! Especially when you consider how long ago he predicted it for us! That, and the HTC rep having told me back in March that he'd be "picking one up in a few weeks!" Can't wait!!!!!
 
So any idea when the Anti-Glare is coming out. I saw that it said "Post Launch" on the Launch kit. Actually when do the "Post Launch" accessories come out after the Incredible is launched?

yes it did.

stocks, footprints, quick office, amazon mp3 store. preloaded onto the rom and not being able to uninstall them. verizon wanted these apps on the phone, you might not use them, but you cant get rid of them. i have yet to use any of those apps. hence the term bloatware. apps u dont use but cant get rid of.
 
ahhhh!!! IJust called verizon and they moved my upgrade date from ma 12th to april 29th so I can call and have the phone overnighted to me the day it comes out :) :):):) sooo excited and LOVE VERIZON!

I believe that it was Engadget that has it in their hands, and that they would release a review when it actually is available, not when a press release and information comes out. The embargo for them probably ends the 19th at the earliest.

Out of all of my 5 lines, none of them are eligible for promo pricing until next year. $600 makes me a little sad, especially considering I'll be lucky to get 1/3 of that for my Eris on Craigslist or eBay. :(

Oh, and I was in the basement of my church selling merchandise at a concert last night, so my service was terrible. Was trying to bring up AF but it wasn't loading well, but I could've sworn I saw a post from Anonimic that said "posted from my HTC Incredible"...did I miss something? No time to read anything but the last page this morning, I slept in since we got home late, and now need to run off to work, so sorry for asking for the recap. :)

i don't think the back is actually brown/red because if you look at the pictures of the cases on the VZW handout packet thing, the clear cases show a black battery cover
 
I hope this hasn't been covered already because I haven't been able to access the site most of the day, but I was reading the Droid Incredible launch kit and on page 25, the Helpful Hints page, there is a section about installing an SD card and the title says "Installing a MicroSD (8 GB pre-installed)". Is this saying that the Incredible will ship with a 8 GB MicroSD card, or is this referring to the built-in storage?
 
sounds like it is a memory card inserted, not internal or else they should not say that there because it would lead to confusion. I think that is a memory card.

I don't know about Amazon, but the BB insurance plan does not cover lost phones. That just about seals it for me.
