Apparently, the camera and media apps that were preinstalled use it for media and that is it. This will either need to be fixed with an update, or apps will need to be updated to
Use it- assuming apps can be updated to read it.

This is a big miss by HTC and Verizon product management.

Sorry to correct you NKT. The easiest way, recently, is to call *228, select option 3 (activate a new phone) and follow the prompts. :) Do you still love me? ;)

I actually think using My Verizon is easier, but it's personal preference. There is no "correct" answer.

The cheap one will probably break and fall apart, just like my cheap one did. But so might the expensive one. So buy a couple of the cheap ones, it's what I'll probably do.

Don't want to make more of this than needed, given most of us probably have a little less than a week to wait anyway - but I did notice that your message says "tomorrow" and not "in a few days"...

Some people were having problems with their DROIDs ating weird, activating, making phone calls, opeing the browser, etc, when using a non-standard wall charger. SOMETIMES weird things can happen, and there is a small chance (though MUCH larger chance than using a standard charger) of your battery or phone going kaput from using a poor quality charger. If it doesn't have proper voltage regulation, your Incredible may be come an Incredible-y expensive paperweight.

1st: Has anyone yet seen this case on verizon's site? If so, what do you think?
2nd: Notice how they call it a blackberry case. Nothing really fascinating by it. Just something I noticed.

To activate a phone received from online or phone order you will first need to go to Verizon's site and officially accept their re-up terms of your contract. Once that is done, wait about 15 mins, although I have done it after 2-3 mins, then you can power on the phone and dial *228. Choose option 1 to program your phone. That's it, very simple, my 19mo old can do it.
