My only complaints about the phone:

I like typing in landscape mode. There are a few places where it forces me to type in landscape. Not horrible, since the landscape keyboard is the best I've ever used, but still...

Phone reception was a little spotty at first. Phone rep told me that it would get better over the next few days. We'll see.

I like that it pulls my contacts from so many places, but now I've got a bunch of double contacts and extras. Having to delete them all and edit some others is taking way too long.

I'd just like to say I told you so. Although I wasn't exactly right, Wirefly has the Incredible for $149 today and Amazon has it for $99. Yes, I realize that some people got $99 because of NE2, but I am switching over from AT&T. By waiting until today, I will be saving $100 and have the phone almost as soon as those who paid $200.

Just be careful using wirefly. Places like them (wirefly, amazon, letstalk.com, best buy, etc.) have a deal in place where if you cancel or even change your plan in the first 6 months they additional fees, sometimes even the full retail of the phone. I believe wirefly and BB are the best of that bunch but letstalk.com has got a lot of bad feedback so be cautious.

Ugh...mine is still on a truck 400 miles away! I had it sent to my work as i didn't think I could leave a note at my house, so I hope it gets here before I leave this afternoon!

The mail shortcut on the home screen is for the HTC Mail application. When you setup your phone with the default gmail address, it was placed in the gmail application. You can do one of two things.

1. Place the default gMail applicaon on you home screen.
2. Setup the default gmail address in the HTC Mail application and turn off data syncing for gmail.

If you select #2 you will not have access to all the features of the gMail application.

If you select #1 all your mail accounts (gmail, Exchange, POP3/IMAP) can be accessed from 1 mail application.

But nothing says you can only access an email account with one client... I've setup my Incredible to use the gmail application, and to sync the Sense integrated mail application once a day via POP, so I have the sense integrated mail search, pinch to zoom, etc.. (read about someone doing that somewhere on this forum and decided to give it a try - it's seems like a good solution so far).

I got mine yesterday and I gotta say that this phone is absolutely INSANELY INCREDIBLE. No joke. For those of you that haven't gotten it you're going to flip out at the speed and the things it's capable of doing. The volume bar is the only thing that feels on the weak side but overall this thing is a monster.

I hope all of you enjoy this phone. You're holding the best phone in the market at this moment in time. Take care.

LOL! I'm having mine delivered to my job as well! The local FedEx is only a 5 minute drive away, and it is on the truck now! What's taking so long!!!

Oh incase anyone was wondering about cases, I picked up a black silicone case and its perfect. Especially compared to my old blackberry 8330 silicone case. Very sturdy, high gloss so no sticking in pocket and very thin.. I love it, i might not need a third party case after all.. However the screen protector is to be desired but I guess its expected. It only covers the screen with approx 1mm of overhang on the edges. Its not terrible but ide like a anti smudge protector in the long run

i took mine to verizon tech yesterday.

they didnt have incredible software so they ran it as an eris and it worked.

im sure today they will have the update will they can pick the incredible

I have had mine now for 2 days, I must say I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be. Typing on this thing while its vertical is proving to be a nightmare!! Everything else for the most part is really good. Just not really impressed with it like I expected...

Just got done killing the battery after 8 hrs of pretty heavy use. Wow, what an amazing phone. Playing with my phone was like going to Disney Land for one day. You just can't see it all in one day.

I dont think my battery will last that long on this phone. How is everyone getting the battery to last longer?

It's no wonder why we haven't heard from NKT, Anon, and company lately!

If the Incredible is any indication, I expect netbook sales to take a dive within the next few years.

Backup assistant is available for the blackberry on verizon, once installed you can back them up and restore them to your INC once you activate it.

I transferred 872 contacts. Download Google sync for your blackberry. It will sync all of your contacts to your gmail account. When you turn on the Incredible it will ask you to enter your gmail info and it will automatically download all of your contacts. It works flawlessly.

And yes battery life is a problem. Goto your settings and to your battery option. It will tell you what is using your battery. 15% for me was being used by wifi. When im just sitting home, it is connected to my wifi and killing my battery even when im not using it. Change your timeout time. Make minor changes and it should help you out a bit.

I will be buying that extended battery.
