I was browsing over to the incredible forums... they have over 800 posts waiting for GB... we have GOT to catch up. So here goes - the official Ice Cream Sandwich Watch Thread.

Why is everyone in the incredible forums waiting for gingerbread? They've had gingerbread roms for an eternity, I used to have one.
I think your average user would rather have an official OTA download rather than a third party rom. It's like buying an album and getting the album art rather than downloading the bootleg copy with mismatched file names.
Well, maybe it's nothing like that at all, but I understood what I meant.

I think hTC should rebuild sense from the ground up & might very well have to to accommodate 4.0.
I wonder what will be first handset to run it, will it ditch the 4 capacitive touch keys and be on screen like the Gnex?
Hmmm.... Interesting...
Fwiw, ICS will have an option to hide the onscreen buttons
Do you mean that on the devices that get the ICS update, they will have the option to/black out/disable the backlighting/hide the 4 capacitive horizontal row of touch keys & run the on screen set like the Gnex?
For example like on my dinc2 now that I am using, I could choose in the settings to disable the keys after I get the update & would have the option to use the on screen ones or still choose to use the 4 capacitive keys if I want to?
Or, do you mean hide the on screen ICS style ones & stick to using the traditional 4 symbol keys?
Sorry of that's kinda confusing...
From what I've read, it took about 6 months for us to get GB. I would expect it to be longer for ICS since it seems to either replicate a lot of things already in sense, or make them akward. It certainly changes almost every aspect of the phone, unlike GB, which focused on a few key things. Like Gadams said, they may very well have to start from scratch.
