**** OFFICIAL **** ICS COMING SOON thread... Post all questions and info here!!!!

Don't know if this is a hint of things getting ready to happen or not, but my Verizon network system update says "Check for updates is not available at this time. Try again later." This has been going on all day today. Things that make you go hmmmmmm!!!! I really don't care if it is ICS or just a update to our present GB. Anything that makes my phone even greater is fine with me. :)

That's great. Most of people know what their particular reasons for not running a particular ROM are, and can figure out if a report on how reliable the ROM is useful to them or not. Also remember that the leak is also a useful gauge on how far along the official ICS update is coming.

As I have said for years, if someone ever gets a network stood up to rival verizon, they will loose customers in droves. They have been an arrogant company since I got my first bag phone in or around 1989.

Is anybody pushing ICS any faster?

And if the email the droid-life posted from MFN is legitimate, the soak test for ICS is forth coming.

And never buy anything on the promise of future improvements. If it meets your needs now, great. If not take your business elsewhere.

Just make sure its not the mass I do that alot so i have to make sure any time i get a photo

Just read in another thread, long press the message once you open the thread, and click on reply to sender. I didn't know of a fix until I just read that myself. Learn something every day, I guess.;)

Not sure, but this is beginning to seem more like a Verizon thing, not Motorola. I say this, mainly because this has been happening to me since I was on the BlackBerry storm. There would be rumors, innuendo, lies and leaks, just like on the android side. and guess what? Verizon blocks everything they possibly can, but reaps the benefits of customers buying their products in hopes of a newer operating system that actually works. Unfortunately, it never arrives, and a newer, faster product hits the shelves in the meantime. Like the earlier post said, carrot dangling in front of the horse....

I like to blame VZW as much as the next guy, but really, the international version hasn't been released yet either so its still obviously in Motorola's hands.
 
i asked the motorola tech support guy for my country..he is my friend's bro...he says they themselves have no idea when it is rolling out..

There is a test for a GB update, so if anything is coming- it be that.
 
Starting to think we're getting ICS right about the time android 6.99 comes out on all the other devices...
 
I still remain convinced big red has a lot to do with it, since they want to cram all their bloatware into every build. Like, who really uses the madden nfl and need for speed shift, anyway?

After 2 weeks of having this meassage, I spoke to Verizon tech. and they said that my phone isnt connecting to the motorola servers, so they are sending a new one. Anyone else have this issue?
 
Here is what I have heard from reliable sources:
Moto was suppose to start testing ICS 4.0.3, it took them a bit longer than they (and Google) thought, and by the time they were ready to start testing 4.0.3, 4.0.4 was provided by Google and they had to start all over again, The expected date for 4.0.4 general availability is mid to end of May.. All Razr models will get the update at around the same time (+/- a week)..
if you count backwards from this time frame, they should be starting a soak test for 4.0.4 in a couple of weeks.
